Do I qualify?

V12 Criteria:

  • is 18 or older
  • is, or their partner is, in permanent paid employment, self-employed, retired and receiving a pension, working student in part time work or in receipt of a disability benefit
  • has been a resident in the UK for at least 3 years
  • has a debit or credit card in their name, which is registered to their address, in order to pay for the deposit (if applicable)
  • has a Bank or Building Society current account available (you’ll need this to complete the direct debit instruction)

Please note that meeting this criteria does not guarantee acceptance. Applications from students (unless employed at least 16 hours per week), or unemployed single house persons will not be considered. Applications are also welcome from retired individuals, in receipt of a private or company pension (aged 50 or over at date of application).

How quickly will my application be approved?

All finance decisions will be made by V12 Retail Finance within a few minutes. Once you have been approved, we will contact you (during working hours 7 days a week) to confirm delivery arrangements.

Will you search my credit score?

Yes. Credit scoring is the process used by financial services companies like V12 Retail Finance to evaluate the credit risk of new applicants. This technique will be applied to your application for online finance. Credit scoring works by awarding points for each answer given on the application form such as age, income and occupation, together with information obtained from credit reference agencies. This information allows V12 Retail Finance to produce consistent decisions, ensuring all our applicants are treated fairly. Credit scoring does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, race, religion, disability or colour.

Can I request delivery to an address other than my home?

In order to safeguard against fraudulent applications, we regret that we are only able to deliver orders to the home address of the applicant.

Can I change my order after applying for finance?

To ensure your chosen products are correctly delivered to you, if you need to change your order in any way, we will need to cancel your order and re-key it as if it were new. If you've already received confirmation of approval for V12 Retail Finance via The SUP Company, by the time you decide to change your order, then the decision will stand from your original application so long as the order value has not increased. If however, you then go on to make subsequent orders funded via V12 Retail Finance, then each will be treated as a new application and will be processed in the normal way.

Why was I declined?

In addition to credit scoring, confirmation of your identity, validation of certain application details, existing commitments and information held at the credit reference agencies are all taken into account. Though you will not be provided with a main reason for decline of your application, it is usually based on one, or a combination of the following:

  • Your credit score (please note that every finance company will score you differently)
  • Adverse credit reference agency information
  • You are considered to be overcommitted
  • You are aged under 18
  • Your existing account performance with other lenders

Can I re-apply if my finance application is unsuccessful?

Yes. V12 Retail Finance acknowledge that your circumstances change and just because a previous application has been refused, it does not mean that a further request will be automatically turned down. They do suggest, however, that you leave at least 6 months between applications.

Complaints Information

If you are not entirely happy with your recent experience, please raise a complaint by contacting our Customer Service Team on 02380172189 or at help@thesupco.com .

 

We aim to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible and if we are able to resolve your complaint within 14 days, we will send you a final response detailing our resolution. If we are unable to provide you with a final response within the established deadline, we will send you a letter explaining the reason for delay and when we expect to issue you with a final response.

Financial Ombudsman Service Rights

If you are dissatisfied with our response and your agreement is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, you have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, free of charge, but you must do so within six months of the date of the final response or 8 week holding letter.
