The all new Duotone Ventis wing, is Duotone's first light wind focussed freeride wing. Duotone wings have developed a reputation for producing large amounts of power in even marginal conditions but demand for more performance in very light wind has grown significantly, particularly with the emergence of larger and larger foil front wings.
The Duotone Ventis has been developed in just two sizes; 7m and 8m. Each size delivers plenty of active lift, ensuring maximum power in the lightest winds. The draft position of the Ventis's wing canopy has been developed to be extremely stable, even in gusty conditions making for a smooth yet responsive feel.
The overall outline of the Duotone Ventis has been designed to balance a large amount of surface area without while remaining compact in feel. This allows the tips of the wings to be reduced, making for easy starts and significantly reducing session crushing touch downs. Two struts have also been added to the canopy either side of the existing central one. These two struts help to control twist in the canopy of the Ventis and maintain tension across its surface area.
Learnings from the hugely successful Duotone Unit and its handles have been built into the Ventis wing. These handles are not only comfortable but also offer intermediate feedback and control, especially when pumping.
