The 2023 Fanatic 11'6 Ray Air Pocket is all-new from Fanatic. Fanatic has used its unique compact technology to create a touring board that offers effortless glide and stability. Fanatic has taken one of their most popular touring shapes and crafted it to create a SUP inflatable that is both stable and with sufficient waterline length to ensure is rigid and lightweight while delivering masses of glide. The unique click fin system fitted to the Pocket Edition not only means that you are on the water fast but also that this paddleboards party piece of packing down into such a slim bag (almost half the width of another Fanatic iSUP). Performance when paddling is also ensured from this system as Fanatic has been wise enough to toe the fins in slightly, working to improve tracking and efficiency when paddling on the flat.

Brilliant Board
I was after an upgrade to my beginner board and after a lot of thought I settled on the fanatic pocket. I have only had it 24hrs but absolutely love it! It’s a well constructed board, easy to pump up and also folds well into the bag (it goes in almost as tight as it came out when I first got it out). It had its maiden voyage last night and it’s rather smooth on the water. It is super light to carry as well so all round I cannot complain.

More than Expected
This board is great if your like me and live near a train station and can hop on a train and go somewhere it's not too easy with a vehicle. The board is extremely light and very buoyant in the water, first 2 trips took me a bit of getting use to. If you're use to boards over 32inch wide prepare for a different board experience, it glides extremely well and despite the 2 small fins it tracks really well, if there is one thing to pull it on it would be the cargo bungee, i think the eyelets on the board could be better where they attach to the board, having said that the bag and pump both fit within the cargo bungee. i got the standard carbon paddle (£30 extra) which is well constructed if a little heavy. Considering the size of the pump it doesn't take that long to pump it up(12mins)
