The Infinity Downton Dugout is a supremely stable, fast gliding and very manoeuvrable downwind focussed tool. Infinity poured rider and customer feedback into this bump riding machine, keeping the same bottom design concept but updated the smaller design features.
Infinity moved the entire cockpit further back to create more volume and a better-placed recovery volume ensuring speed is maintained. The nose of the Downtown got refined and added more curves from the bottom up creating more kick in the front for larger swells. Also, a slightly softer entry in the nose simply for forgiveness in cross-swell. High volume nose makes this board incredible upwind and into the chop.
This "dugout" version of the Downtown has taller more upright rails creating a 1.5wider standing zone. This eliminates that closed stance feeling some riders experience when paddling a dugout style cockpit. The Dugout also features 6 drain holes to quickly exit any water that may enter the cockpit while in heavy waters or down winding. We cover the side drains with orange caps.
