How do I hire a SUP?

All bookings are handled online via the highly intuitive and easy to use Eola platform. All bookings are registered in our system based on availability on an hourly basis. Walk in bookings are possible on the premises based on availability, so if you wish to go down that route please check availability beforehand to avoid disappointment. Please bring some proof of your booking when arriving at our centre so we can get you on the water as fast as possible.

What are your opening times for SUP hire?

Tuesday - Friday: 10:00 - 20:00
Saturday - Monday: 10:00 - 18:00

Please note last hire is no later than one hour before closing.

What does SUP hire cost?

1 hour = £15

2 hours = £27

3 hours = £40

4 hours = £54

Prices are per SUP and limited to one person per SUP.

What’s included?

When hiring a SUP you will receive an inflatable paddle board, paddle and leash as well as a buoyancy aid. Should you wish to wear a wetsuit when paddling, these are available to hire at £6 per person per session.

What should I wear?

Paddle boards are surprisingly stable, yet as with any paddle sport there is the possibility you might get wet. So we recommend some loose fitting clothing as well as some trainers that you do not mind the prospect of getting wet. You can of course choose to hire a wet suit for £6 per person per session.

Is there a minimum age for hire?

No, however under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Is there parking onsite?

There is a dedicated free car park on site that is solely for the use of The Paddle Centre customers. Just make sure you give your registration at the time of signing in for your session. There is also a public car park that neighbors our site if you have friends and family coming to watch or join you afterwards.

Do you have somewhere I can get changed?

Yes, there are two single occupancy unisex changing rooms next to our office. These are available to use for all customers.

Do you have somewhere I can leave my belongings?

Yes, there are lockers in The Paddle Centre office that are free to use.

Where will I be paddling?

The Paddle Centre are based on the River Hamble at Premier Marina Swanwick. From there you can paddle down to Universal Marina and as far us as you like. Our team can happily help you if you need any advice on distances suitable for your experience. (Please be aware that there is limited landing once past the country park).
