The Starboard 14’0” Generation is the one quiver phenomenon that has inspired paddlers seasoned, new and everything in between would be an understatement. The 14 ft Generation has a narrower tail outline to help create a smooth and efficient release with little turbulence and wash. This dramatically increases glide and acceleration due to less wetted surface area. The advantage of this is also that then you come to either make your turn on a wave or even rounding a mark, that the Generation remains responsive and the tail sinks easily.

If you are looking to decide between the 14’0 Generation or the very popular 12’6, then it really comes to a couple of things. If you are looking to cover the distance the majority of your time and yet want the flexibility that the Generation offers then the 14ft is the way to go. While if you are looking for the ultimate all-rounder that can do it all with ease and remain responsive in the surf, then the 12’6 Generation is the way to go.
