Transport Accessories at The SUP Company

Moving boards and wet kit shouldn’t be the hard part of a session. This collection is all about the real-world essentials that protect your gear, keep your car clean, and make getting to the water quicker — from roof straps and rack pads to carry straps, board carts, gear bags and car seat covers.

Perfect for UK life: coastal day trips, van missions, muddy launches, winter layers and salty kit that needs looking after properly.

Shop transport by what you need

Tie Down Straps – secure boards safely to roof racks and bars.
Rack Pads – protect rails and bars, reduce slip, reduce stress.
Lockable Straps – add security for stops between home and the beach.
Carry Straps – easier solo carries from car park to launch.
Paddleboard Cart – save your shoulders on longer walks to the water.
Waterproof Car Seat Covers – keep wet kit off your upholstery after a session.
Gear Bags – organise kit and stop sandy chaos spreading through the car.
Key Safes – keep keys secure when you’re on the water.

Why these bits matter more than you think

Protect your board: Good pads + straps reduce pressure points and help prevent transport dings (especially on rails and noses).

Protect your car: Waterproof seat covers and gear bags keep saltwater, sand and wet neoprene where it belongs.

Make sessions easier: Carry straps, carts and organisers turn “faff” into “grab and go”.

Transport Accessories FAQs

Do I need rack pads if I’m using roof straps?

We strongly recommend them. Rack pads help protect your board’s rails, improve grip on the bars, and reduce movement and pressure points during travel.

What’s the safest way to strap a board to the roof?

Use quality straps, place them evenly on the bars, tighten firmly (but don’t crush the board), and double-check after a few minutes of driving. If you’re unsure, message us with your setup and we’ll advise.

How do I stop my car getting soaked after paddling?

Waterproof seat covers and a dedicated gear bag make the biggest difference. They keep wet neoprene, salty layers and sand contained (and make cleanup far easier).

I paddle solo — what helps most?

A carry strap or carry belt makes solo carries much easier, and a cart is a game-changer for longer walks from the car park to the launch.

Do I need a keysafe?

If you’re leaving your car on the beach car park or a riverside spot, a keysafe is a simple way to keep keys secure and out of the water while you’re paddling.
