Axis

Axis

AXIS Foils are built for riders who want a setup that feels precise today, and still makes sense as your skills (and riding style) evolve. The beauty of AXIS is the modular system — swap front wings, fuselages, rear stabs and mast lengths to tune glide, speed, lift and turning without starting from scratch.

Whether you’re winging in the Solent chop, chasing bumps downwind, surf-foiling short-period wind swell, or dialling in pump and dock-start sessions, AXIS gives you a clear progression path from confidence-building stability to fast, efficient high-aspect performance.

Shop AXIS by component

  • Foil Completes – a simple way to get a balanced setup from day one
  • Front Wings – the “engine” of your foil (lift, glide, speed, turning)
  • Rear Stabilisers – fine-tune stability, pitch control and feel
  • Masts – choose the right length for conditions and discipline
  • Fuselages – adjust stability vs looseness and match wing compatibility
  • Boards – a perfect pairing for an Axis foil set up
  • Screws & Spares – keep everything tight, safe and corrosion-resistant

Which AXIS range is right for you?

ART (AXIS Research Team) is all about efficiency: excellent glide, a low stall speed and pump-friendly performance, without becoming unpredictable in turns. It’s a brilliant step if you’re chasing “more time on foil” — especially for winging, downwind and pumping.

HPS (High Performance Speed) is the go-to when you want more pace, range and drive. It’s a benchmark wing-foil shape once you’ve got the basics, and it carries over brilliantly into faster SUP/surf foiling and wind-driven disciplines.

PNG (Pump & Glide) is a firm favourite for linking waves and pumping back out. It’s efficient, confidence-building and loved by SUP foilers — just bear in mind the same traits that make it a pumping weapon can cap top speed compared to faster ranges.

Red Series vs Black Series: what it means in the real world

AXIS fuselages are designed around feel and compatibility. Red Series gives you a clear stability-to-agility choice: longer = more stable, shorter = looser and quicker turning. Black Series is built to suit higher-performance, thinner-profile wings (like HPS and smaller BSC shapes), giving the right connection and rigidity where it matters.

Popular AXIS picks (and why riders love them)

  • Surge Front Wings – modern, high-performance lift and glide with a “fast but friendly” feel
  • PNG V2 Front Wings – refined pump-and-glide performance with improved acceleration and top-end
  • Black & Red Series fuselages – build your handling around your discipline, not guesswork
  • Progressive/Freeride rear stabs – quick wins for pitch stability and control as you level up

Need help choosing the right AXIS setup?

If you tell us your height/weight, board volume, where you ride (and what you ride most), we’ll recommend a sensible starting point and a clear upgrade path — so you’re not buying parts twice. We ship fast in the UK, we’re here 7 days a week, and if you’re local you can pop into one of our stores for hands-on advice.

AXIS FAQs

Is AXIS suitable for beginners?

Yes — with the right wing size and a stable fuselage/rear stab pairing, AXIS can be very confidence-building. The key is starting with a balanced setup, then stepping into higher-aspect options as your control improves.

Can I mix and match AXIS parts?

That’s the whole point of the system — but compatibility matters (especially between fuselage series and certain wing families). If you’re unsure, ask us before you order and we’ll sanity-check your build.

What’s the quickest way to change how my foil feels?

Rear stabiliser choice and fuselage length are the fastest “feel” changes (stability vs looseness). Front wing choice is the bigger performance change (lift, glide, speed and turning).
