Wingsurfers (Wings) at The SUP Company
Looking for the right wingsurfer / wing for UK conditions? This collection brings together our favourite handheld wings for wingfoiling — from confidence-building freeride options through to light-wind powerhouses and wave-focused wings with proper drift and control.
Whether you’re learning your first taxi runs, chasing cleaner gybes, or trying to unlock longer, faster flights, the right wing makes everything easier: earlier take-offs, better upwind angles, less fatigue, and more time actually foiling.
Shop Wingsurfers by what you need
All-round / freeride: the best place to start if you want predictable power, easy handling and progression-friendly feel.
Light-wind sessions: bigger wings and efficient shapes that get you flying sooner when the forecast is “nearly there”.
Waves & downwind: wings with solid drift, stability and control when you’re flagging the wing and focusing on the foil.
Performance upgrades: stiffer, lighter constructions for riders who want sharper response and more range.
Complete your setup (the bits that matter)
Wing Pumps – reliable inflation and the right adaptor setup.
Wing Leashes – wrist or waist options to match your riding style.

Choosing the right wing size for UK conditions
In the UK you’re often dealing with gusts, lulls and short wind windows. Wing size depends on your weight, board volume, foil efficiency and the wind you actually ride in — not the wind you wish you had. If you tell us your weight, ability and local spot, we’ll point you at a sensible “main” wing size (and whether a second wing would unlock more sessions).
Why buy your wing from The SUP Company?
We’ll help you choose a setup that works together: wing size, leash choice, pump/adaptor, and the little compatibility details that stop headaches later. And because wings take knocks (and bladders sometimes fail), we stock the spares and essentials that keep you riding.
If you want help, message us via our Contact page and we’ll get you sorted.
Wingsurfers FAQs
Which wing is best for beginners?
Most beginners progress fastest on a stable freeride wing that delivers smooth, predictable power and isn’t overly twitchy in gusts. Share your weight, board volume and typical wind range and we’ll recommend a sensible first wing (plus the right leash setup).
What size wing should I buy for the UK?
UK winds are often gusty and can be lighter than forecast. Many riders end up with two wings to cover more days — a “main” size, then either a light-wind option or a smaller wing for stronger sessions. We’ll help you size it properly for your weight and foil efficiency.
Boom or handles — what’s better?
Both work well. A boom makes hand placement changes easy and can feel very natural for freeride, while handles keep things simple and often lighter. It’s mainly preference — tell us what you value (control, simplicity, wave riding, freeride) and we’ll steer you.
Do I need a wrist leash or waist leash?
Wrist leashes are simple and popular for many riders; waist leashes can feel cleaner and less tangled, especially if you’re moving your hands a lot or riding waves. Either way, a good leash is a non-negotiable safety item.
Do you stock spares like bladders?
Yes — we carry replacement wing bladders and key spares to keep you riding through the season, plus the essentials like pumps and leashes.
