Foil system compatibility
Foil fuselages for wing, SUP, surf, downwind and assisted foiling
Foil fuselages connect the mast, front wing and rear stabiliser, so they have a major effect on how your foil feels. The right fuselage can improve pitch stability, turning response, pump, glide and overall control.
This collection includes fuselages for selected AXIS, Code Foils, Duotone Wing Foiling and Fanatic foil systems. Compatibility is critical, so always match the fuselage to the correct mast, front wing, rear stabiliser and brand platform before ordering.

Foil fuselage buying guide
The fuselage is one of the most overlooked parts of a foil setup, but it can change the whole character of the ride. A shorter fuselage can make a foil feel looser and more responsive. A longer fuselage can add pitch stability and make the setup feel calmer, especially at speed or while learning.
Use the guide below to choose the right foil fuselage for your system, riding style and upgrade path.
What does a foil fuselage do?
The fuselage is the central spine of the foil. It connects the mast to the front wing and rear stabiliser, setting the distance between those wings and helping determine how stable, responsive or efficient the foil feels.
A fuselage is not just a spare part. It affects pitch control, pump timing, turning radius, take-off feel and how connected the foil feels under your feet. Changing fuselage length or system can make a familiar front wing feel noticeably different.
For the full system, compare with our front wings, rear stabilisers, foil masts, foil screw sets and complete foil setups.
How to choose the right fuselage
Start with compatibility. Foil fuselages are brand and system specific. The mast connection, front wing fit, rear stabiliser fit, screw pattern and generation all need to match. A fuselage that looks similar may still not fit your foil.
Then think about the feel you want. Shorter fuselages can make the foil more lively, tighter turning and more responsive. Longer fuselages can improve pitch stability and give a more planted feel. For many riders, the best choice is not the shortest or longest option, but the one that suits their discipline and skill level.

Fuselages by riding style
Wing foiling
Wing foilers usually want a balance of easy take-off, pitch stability, smooth gybes and enough response as their riding improves.
Shop wing foil boards
SUP and downwind foiling
Downwind and SUP foil riders often care about glide, pump efficiency, pitch control and how easily the foil carries between bumps.
Shop downwind foil boards
Surf and prone foiling
Surf-focused riders may prefer a more responsive setup that turns tightly and does not feel over-stabilised.
Shop pump foil and dock start kit
Foil Drive and assist
With assist systems, the fuselage still affects glide, pitch balance, turning feel and the way the foil rides once flying.

Short, standard and long fuselages: what changes?
Shorter fuselages generally make the foil feel more manoeuvrable and more sensitive to rider input. That can be brilliant for surf, wing tricks, tighter turns and more playful riding, but it can feel less forgiving if your pitch control is still developing.
Longer fuselages tend to feel calmer and more stable in pitch. They can help riders learning gybes, foot switches and faster lines, but may feel less loose through tight turns.
Different brands use different naming systems, so do not compare names alone. Check the actual product, compatible front wings, tail wing options and intended use before choosing.
Brand and system compatibility
Fuselages are not interchangeable across most foil brands. Even within the same brand, different mast generations, wing ranges or connection systems may need different fuselages.
-
AXIS riders should check the correct Black, Red, Advance+, B-Series, FATTY or Ti LINK system before ordering.
-
Code Foils riders should choose the fuselage that matches their front wing, tail wing and riding goal.
-
Duotone Wing Foiling riders should check Aero, 3BS, D/LAB, tail and system generation compatibility.
-
Fanatic riders should confirm the correct 3BS connection and model generation before replacing parts.
If you are not fully sure which fuselage fits, please ask. It is much quicker to check compatibility than to correct an incorrect foil part order later.

Finance, delivery and support
A fuselage is often bought as part of a wider foil upgrade, so it is worth checking the full setup before committing. The wrong fuselage can stop parts fitting together or make the foil feel completely different from what you expected.

Foil fuselage FAQs
What is a foil fuselage?
A foil fuselage is the central connection piece that joins the mast, front wing and rear stabiliser. It sets the spacing between the wings and has a big influence on pitch stability, turning feel and overall control.
Are foil fuselages universal?
No. Fuselages are normally brand and system specific. Mast connections, screw patterns, front wing mounts and rear stabiliser mounts vary between brands and sometimes between generations within the same brand.
What fuselage length should I choose?
Shorter fuselages generally feel looser, more responsive and easier to turn. Longer fuselages usually feel more stable and predictable in pitch. The best length depends on your foil brand, front wing, rear stabiliser, discipline and ability level.
Will a shorter fuselage make my foil turn better?
Often, yes. A shorter fuselage can make the foil feel more agile and more responsive through turns. It may also feel less stable, so it is usually better for riders who already have good pitch control.
Is a longer fuselage better for learning?
A longer fuselage can help create a calmer and more stable feel, which may suit newer riders or those working on gybes and foot switches. It is not automatically better for everyone, especially if you want a very loose surf-style feel.
Can I change fuselage without changing front wing?
Sometimes, if your brand platform allows it and the alternative fuselage is compatible with your mast, front wing and stabiliser. Changing fuselage can alter the feel of the same front wing, so check before ordering.
Which fuselage is best for wing foiling?
For wing foiling, most riders want a fuselage that balances stability, easy take-off, turning and progression. Newer riders may prefer a more stable feel, while advanced riders may choose a shorter or more responsive setup.
Can The SUP Company help me choose the correct fuselage?
Yes. Send us your mast, front wing, rear stabiliser, current fuselage if you have one, rider weight and what you want to improve. We can help check compatibility and suggest a sensible direction.
