SIC RS AIR Inflatable Paddleboard
The SIC RS AIR is the inflatable evolution of the multi-award-winning RS (Rocket Ship) hard board. It is designed for the paddler who refuses to compromise on speed and glide but requires the convenience of a "board-in-a-bag" solution. Whether you are training for your next race, embarking on a high-speed touring adventure, or simply want the fastest possible feel from an inflatable platform, the RS AIR provides the stiffness and streamlined silhouette needed to cover distance with efficiency.
Where it Sits in the SIC Range
Positioned as the high-performance thoroughbred of the SIC inflatable range, the RS AIR sits above the all-round Tao series and the adventure-focused Okeanos AIR. While the Okeanos is wider and more stable for carrying gear, the RS AIR is narrower and sleeker, prioritising "straight-line" tracking and speed. It is the perfect choice for experienced paddlers or fit newcomers who want a board that rewards good technique. If you are looking for a stable platform for yoga or casual family play, the Tao series would be a more sensible starting point.
Why Choose the SIC RS AIR?
- Authentic Race Feel: Borrowing the exact outline of its composite sibling, this board cuts through the water rather than pushing against it.
- Unrivalled Stiffness: Utilising Carbon Fusion Lite (CFL) technology, it minimises the "flex" often found in cheaper inflatables, ensuring your energy goes directly into forward motion.
- Premium Tracking: The narrow tail and sleek nose work together to keep you paddling on one side for longer, improving your overall pace.
- High-End Portability: All that performance packs down into a high-quality wheelie bag, making it easy to transport in a small car or take on a plane.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the RS AIR stable enough for a beginner?
The RS AIR is narrower than a standard "all-round" board. If you have a good sense of balance or are coming from an athletic background, you will find it rewarding. However, if stability is your primary concern, we would suggest looking at the SIC Okeanos AIR.
Does the Carbon Fusion Lite really make a difference?
Yes. The CFL technology significantly reduces the "bounce" or "sag" in the middle of the board. This keeps the rocker line flat, which is essential for maintaining speed and glide through the water.
Can I use this board for racing?
Absolutely. While a hard board will always have a slight edge in elite competition, the RS AIR is one of the most competitive inflatable race boards available. It is perfect for local club races or the iSUP class in national events.
