Atomic Wood Core & Koroyd Tips The heart of the board is a sustainably sourced wood core which provides that classic, "lively" feel. By integrating Koroyd—a thermally welded honeycomb material—into the tips, Slingshot has reduced the swing weight and increased dampening. On the water, this means the board feels lighter during transitions and much smoother when cutting through messy wind-chop.
NACA Tech Channels These laser-cut channels on the underside of the board direct water flow towards the fins. For the rider, this translates to incredible edge hold and "grip." You’ll feel more confident leaning into a turn or holding a steady edge as you build speed.
Single Concave Hull The bottom shape of the Misfit is designed to provide a smooth, tracking ride. It helps the board plane early in lighter winds and provides a cushioned landing if you happen to come down a little harder than intended after a jump.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 143cm size right for me?
The 143cm is a fantastic "middle-of-the-road" size. It offers enough surface area for heavier riders (85kg+) or those riding in lighter wind regions. If you are a lighter rider or prefer a more "flickable" feel for tricks, you might consider a smaller size, but the 143cm offers the best stability for general progression.
Does this board come with fins?
Yes, the Misfit V11 includes a full set of four 1.75" fins and a grab handle. You will only need to add your choice of kite bindings to get on the water.
Can I use this board for my first few sessions after lessons?
Absolutely. In fact, we often recommend the Misfit over "beginner-only" boards because it has a much higher performance ceiling. It is easy to learn on, but you won't outgrow it as your skills improve over the next few seasons.
