Description
The Foil Drive MAX High Power Motor is the upgrade for riders who want stronger low-end support, better take-off assistance and a more capable Foil Drive setup when conditions are marginal or demanding. If you already ride Foil Drive and find yourself wanting more push from your motor, this is the natural step up from the standard v2 motor.
This is not simply about making the system feel faster. The real benefit is extra torque where it matters most: getting moving, lifting onto foil, pushing through chop, helping heavier riders, and giving more support when using smaller boards, smaller foils or riding in stronger current and wind.
Where It Sits In The Foil Drive Range
The High Power Motor sits above the standard Foil Drive v2 motor. It is still part of the removable v2 motor architecture, so it works with the correct Foil Drive v2 cable, puck, pod and mast adaptor setup, but it gives a more powerful, more efficient feel under load.
For the strongest Foil Drive MAX setup, pair this motor with the Foil Drive MAX High Power Battery. The motor can be used as an upgrade on its own, but the full High Power combination is what unlocks the most performance-focused version of the Foil Drive MAX platform.

Do I need the High Power Motor?
Not everyone does. If you are lighter, riding larger foils or mainly want gentle take-off assistance, the standard v2 motor may be enough. Choose the High Power Motor if you want stronger support, ride in tougher conditions, use smaller equipment or regularly lean on the motor to get flying.
Should I pair this with the MAX High Power Battery?
For the strongest Foil Drive MAX setup, yes. The motor can be upgraded on its own, but the biggest performance gain comes when the High Power Motor is paired with the Foil Drive MAX High Power Battery.
Will this fit my Foil Drive Assist Slim?
The High Power v2 Motor is compatible with Assist Slim and Assist MAX systems using the v2 removable cable architecture. If you are unsure which motor system you currently have, contact us before ordering and we can help check the sensible route.
Does this include the motor cable?
Yes. This complete motor package includes a 20cm / 8" removable v2 motor cable. Other cable lengths are available separately if you want to change the motor position on the mast.
Is this a full eFoil motor?
No. This is a Foil Drive motor upgrade for foil assist use. Foil assist is designed to help with take-offs, linking sections and extending sessions while still keeping the feel of your existing board and foil setup.
What else might I need to fit it?
You will need the correct Foil Drive pod and mast adaptor setup for your foil mast. If you are building or rebuilding a system, check the Foil Drive Universal Motor Pod and related mast adaptor options, or contact us for help before ordering.
