Description
Description
The AXIS Dock 999 Red Glass is a purpose-built pump/dock-start foil board designed for maximum fun when there’s no wind — whether you’re learning dock starts, chasing foil fitness sessions, or getting towed behind a boat or kite.
It’s the updated shape that replaces the older AXIS Tray concept, with a compact outline, a forgiving nose rocker for touch-downs, and a subtly dished standing area that helps you find (and repeat) the right pumping stance.
Where it sits in the range
If your goal is dock-starting and pump foiling, the Dock 999 is the dedicated tool for the job. If you’re mainly building a wingfoiling quiver, you’ll usually be better served by a higher-volume wing board like the AXIS Blast. If you want a “do-more” platform for light-wind starts, parawing and modern mid-length efficiency, look at the AXIS Frank Mini Dart.
Why choose the Dock 999
- Built for repetition: a shape that helps you reset quickly after touch-downs and keep improving.
- Confidence underfoot: the width makes it easier to land your feet in that critical moment getting up and pumping.
- Versatile use: dock, pump, wake/boat, kite/tow — one board that covers a lot of “no-wind” foiling.
- Stiff, connected feel: the Red Glass layup delivers solid stiffness so your effort goes into the foil, not board flex.

FAQs
Is the Dock 999 suitable for beginners?
Yes — it’s designed to work for complete learners through to experienced pumpers. The forgiving rocker and stable platform help a lot, but dock-starting still has a learning curve. If you tell us your experience level and what foil you’re on, we’ll help you set it up sensibly.
What’s the difference between the Dock 999 and a wing foil board?
The Dock 999 is compact and purpose-led for pump/dock starts (and tow use). A wing board typically has more volume for uphauling and standing comfortably while you generate power with a wing. If wingfoiling is your main goal, we’ll usually point you towards something like the AXIS Blast.
Does it come with a board bag?
No — the Red Glass Dock 999 ships without a bag. If you want to protect it for transport, add an AXIS Foil Board Bag (or the Large Quiver Bag if you’re carrying more kit).
Can I use it behind a boat or with a kite tow?
Yes — it’s a great shape for wake/boat and kite/tow use as well as dock/pump sessions, keeping things compact and responsive once you’re up on foil.
Can I try it before buying?
Absolutely. Book a session at our Test Centre in Southampton and we’ll help you compare options and get the setup dialled.
