Description
Description
If you want a proper touring iSUP that feels efficient over distance (rather than “ok for a potter”), the Starboard 14'0 Touring Deluxe Lite is one of the best. It’s long, quick to track, confidence-inspiring with luggage on the nose, and built in Starboard’s Deluxe Lite Roll construction so it’s lighter to carry and packs up to 33% smaller for travel.
Choose 14'0 x 30" if you want the faster feel and easier cadence, or 14'0 x 32" if you want maximum stability for bigger paddlers, rougher water, or heavier kit loads.
Why you’ll love it
- Real touring speed + tracking: the 14' outline gives you glide you can actually feel on longer paddles.
- Deluxe Lite construction: Woven Dropstitch helps reduce weight (and keep the board feeling crisp underfoot).
- Roll Technology: the foldable fin box lets the board roll tighter, shrinking the packed size for storage and travel.
- Adventure-ready storage: nose bungees plus a centre tie-down keep drybags stable and easy to access.
Construction & design highlights
Deluxe Lite (Woven Dropstitch) is designed to cut weight while keeping stiffness high, which is exactly what you want for touring efficiency. Starboard also uses Welded Rail Technology (heat-welded seams rather than relying purely on glue) for long-term durability, and the Roll Technology fin box system to reduce packed size.
- Edge Release Technology: cleaner water release for a more efficient glide
- Optimised outline: straight rails + narrower mid-section to help tracking and keep the paddle closer to the board
- Voluminous nose & square tail: extra stability through chop + a solid platform when stepping back
- Comfort deck: EVA traction with a tail kick pad for control when turning
- Load-friendly fittings: rail D-rings for a shoulder strap / kayak seat attachment
Which size should I choose?
14'0 x 30" – best if you want the quicker feel and plan to cover distance efficiently (great “do-it-all touring” width for most paddlers).
14'0 x 32" – best if stability is your priority, you’re carrying more kit, or you simply want the most planted ride for long days on the water.

Try it before you buy
If you want to be 100% sure on width (30" vs 32") and feel, you can book a session at our SUP Company Test Centre at Woodmill, Southampton. It’s £25 per person and refundable against a board purchase.

FAQs
Is 14'0 too long for casual paddling?
If you mostly paddle short sessions or tight rivers, you might prefer something shorter. But if you like covering distance, touring lakes/coast, or doing longer fitness paddles, 14'0 is a game-changer for glide and tracking.
30" or 32" – which is better?
30" feels faster and more efficient for distance. 32" feels more planted, especially in chop or with heavier loads. If you’re unsure, the Test Centre is the easiest way to decide.
What does “Roll Technology” actually do?
It’s a fin box design that allows the board to roll tighter when packing, reducing the overall packed size and making the bag more travel-friendly.
Is Deluxe Lite durable enough for regular use?
Yes — it’s built for touring and travel, with welded rails designed to improve seam longevity. Like any inflatable, avoid dragging over sharp surfaces and rinse after saltwater use for best lifespan.
