The Starboard Longboard is the most successful SUP longboard ever produced, setting the benchmark for performance and versatility in the category. A proven winner, it has earned two Best Performance Longboard awards and claimed the 2023 Bali Longboard SUP Revolution title, cementing its status as the reference for high-performance SUP longboarding.

Design Evolution

Following a major design update in 2024, the Longboard range delivers a significant leap in performance. The refined, thinner shapes provide highly responsive, high-performance riding while remaining exceptionally versatile across a wide range of conditions—from small, mellow beach breaks to fast, hollow reef breaks. The updated rocker and bottom contours offer speed and forgiveness for confident nose riding, while radically thinner rails compared to previous models deliver more locked-in carving and controlled top turns. A refined nose outline with reduced swing weight enables faster, smoother transitions through turns.

Range & Construction

The 2026 Longboard is available in five sizes, ranging from 9’0” x 26” to 10’0” x 31”, ensuring an option for every rider weight and ability. The 9’5” x 30” remains the best-selling and core stock model, offering the ideal balance of performance and accessibility.

Two construction options are available:

• Blue Carbon – Starboard’s lightest and strongest construction, delivering maximum performance.

• Limited Series – Updated for 2026 to offer excellent value with lighter weight than previous Limited Series models.

Key Longboard Features

Thin Performance Rails
A primary focus of the design is ultra-thin rails from nose to tail. Among the thinnest rails Starboard has ever produced, they provide true longboard surfing performance with fast, locked-in carving and precise control.

Domed Deck
Increased volume through the centre of the board balances the thin rails, while a refined deck shape maintains a stable standing area without compromising responsiveness.

Fin Setup
A unique 5-degree fin angle enhances drive and playful performance. Carbon fins are the recommended choice for maximum carving control in all conditions. Blue Carbon boards come equipped with Prepreg Carbon fins, while Limited Series models are supplied with Armacore fins.

Bottom Shape
A subtle nose concave generates speed and control while nose riding, blending into a double concave through the midsection for smooth rail-to-rail transitions. The shape finishes with a vee tail, delivering quick, snappy manoeuvres and improved flow from nose to tail.

Rocker Profile
A moderate nose kick prevents catching during turns and steep take-offs, while tail kick unlocks high-performance surfing with fast, responsive turning off the tail.

  The benchmark size, combining classic longboard flow with shortboard-style responsiveness. Ideal for riders up to 85 kg.

• 9’0” x 26” | 92 L
  The performance-focused model for lighter, advanced riders. Narrow and ultra-responsive, designed for critical sections and competition-level surfing.
