If you’re building a proper Duotone D/LAB foil setup, the Fuselage Tail D/LAB is the rear fuselage section that locks your system together and sets the “feel” of your foil on the water. It’s a premium carbon tail designed to merge cleanly with Duotone D/LAB front wings, giving you that one-piece glider stiffness without a load of exposed bolt heads.
Where it sits in the Duotone foil system
This is the D/LAB carbon tail section for Duotone’s D/LAB glider-style front wings. Your choice of tail length is one of the easiest (and most underrated) ways to tune your setup:
- Shorter tail = looser, more agile, tighter turns
- Longer tail = more pitch stability, more control at speed

FAQs
Which tail length should I choose?
As a simple rule: shorter = more agile, longer = more stable. The 47cm tail is the most “locked in” option, giving maximum pitch stability and confidence when you’re riding faster or pushing bigger wings.
Is the 47cm tail only for the Blitz D/LAB?
No — it’s compatible with other Duotone D/LAB foils too. It’s just especially well matched to the Blitz D/LAB if you want maximum control at speed.
What’s the deal with the extra (4th) screw?
On the Blitz D/LAB, an additional (4th) M6 screw can be used to increase stability and control at higher speeds. On other D/LAB gliders, that extra hole is closed off with a fitted plug for a clean finish.
Will this fit my SLS or aluminium Duotone setup?
This product is designed around the D/LAB front wing glider-style connection. If you’re unsure about compatibility with your exact mast/fuselage generation, send us what you’ve got (front wing + mast + fuselage) and we’ll confirm the correct parts.
Can you help me build a balanced setup?
