The Unit SLS sits above the standard Unit, offering a significant jump in performance through the use of Penta TX and STW70 materials. While the standard Unit is a fantastic all-rounder, the SLS version is for the rider who wants more "jump" out of the wing—it pumps more efficiently, flags out with even less weight when surfing, and holds its profile better at the top end of the wind range. It is the choice for dedicated wave riders and those looking to push their freestyle or jumping to the next level.

Is the SLS version worth the extra investment?

For riders who spend a lot of time on the water, the answer is usually yes. the reduced weight and increased stiffness make the wing easier to handle and more efficient, which ultimately leads to longer and more productive sessions.

Does the SLS handle high winds better than the standard Unit?

Yes. Because the Penta TX frame is stiffer, the wing does not "distort" when the wind picks up. This keeps the center of effort stable, making the wing feel much more controlled in gusty or high-wind conditions.

Can I use my existing Duotone leash?

Yes, any Duotone Leash from previous seasons will be compatible, though we recommend checking for wear and tear before using it with a new 2025 wing.

    Penta TX Leading Edge The use of Penta TX on the leading edge and center strut makes the frame much stiffer than a standard wing. On the water, this means less deformation under load. When you pull on the handles, the wing doesn't flex; it just moves you forward, providing a much more "connected" and athletic feel.

    STW70 Canopy

    The 2025 Unit SLS features the high-tech STW70 canopy material. This fabric has been engineered to minimize diagonal stretch, ensuring the tension is perfectly distributed. This results in a wing that feels exceptionally crisp and remains stable even during high-load maneuvers or big jumps.

    Refined Dihedral Angle

    The 2025 model features a slightly updated dihedral (the "V" shape of the wing). This improves the roll stability, making the wing feel more balanced when you are flying at speed and easier to manage when you are holding it by the front handle while riding a wave.
