Description

The Fanatic AllWave is a proper surf-focused hard SUP built for riders who want to catch more waves and actually enjoy the messy, average-day conditions we get so often in the UK. It’s wide and confidence-building underfoot, paddles easily into waves, and still has the shape and rail bite to turn properly once you’re up and riding.

If your goal is to surf more often (not just on the “perfect” days), the AllWave is one of those boards that makes progression feel simple: more waves, less wobble, cleaner turns.

Where it sits in the range

Choose the AllWave if… you want an easy, forgiving surf SUP that still feels lively once you step back and start carving. It’s a brilliant “do-it-all” wave board for intermediates, and a very sensible first hard surf SUP for anyone moving on from an inflatable.

If you want more classic longboard glide and noseride style, take a look at the Fanatic Stylemaster Surf SUP.

Why choose the AllWave

  • Catches waves early – stable platform and easy paddling speed means more time riding, less time waiting.
  • Forgiving in choppy water – designed for real-world conditions, not just groomed point breaks.
  • Turns without drama – compact outline and tuned tail/rail shape helps you go rail-to-rail with confidence.
  • Progression-friendly – ideal for intermediates building consistency, footwork, and turn shape.
  • Strong, lightweight composite build – built to feel crisp underfoot and last when treated well.

Package includes

  • Fanatic AllWave Surf SUP board
  • Thruster fin set (3-fin)

Recommended essentials (worth adding)

  • Surf leash: a straight leash is usually nicer in the waves than a coiled leash. A great option is the Red Paddle Co Straight Surf Leash (10ft) (or browse all SUP leashes).
  • Paddle: for surf you’ll generally want something light and responsive – explore our SUP paddles and ask us if you want help sizing.
  • Protection: if you’re transporting a hard board regularly, a decent bag pays for itself. See composite board bags.

FAQs

Is the AllWave suitable for beginners?

If you’re a complete beginner, you’ll usually learn faster on a wider allround board first. The AllWave is absolutely beginner-friendly to surfing if you already paddle confidently and want a stable, forgiving wave shape. If you’re unsure, tell us your height/weight and where you’ll surf, and we’ll point you at the right starting point.

Which size should I choose?

As a rule: choose the smallest size that still gives you comfortable stability and easy wave-catching. If you’re coming from an inflatable (or you surf choppy conditions), most riders benefit from erring slightly bigger. The rider weight ranges in the spec table are a solid starting point, and we’re happy to help you choose based on your experience and local conditions.

Does it come with fins?

Yes — the AllWave is supplied with a thruster (3-fin) setup, ready to surf.

Can I use it on flatwater as well?

You can, especially for short paddles to the break or a relaxed potter, but it’s shaped to turn and surf rather than track dead straight. If you want one board that does a lot of flatwater exploring as well as surfing, tell us what percentage of time you’ll be on the waves and we’ll guide you.

Can I demo it or get advice on setup?

Yes. Book a session at our Woodmill SUP Test Centre, or get in touch for sizing and setup help: 02380 172189 or help@thesupco.com.

Specifications

  • Features

Bottom shape: speed when you need it, control when it’s steep

The AllWave uses a single-to-double concave that finishes with V through the fins. On the water, that translates to easy speed down the line, plus smoother rail changes when you’re linking turns.

Compact outline: easier surfing in less powerful waves

By keeping the outline compact, the board feels less “corky” and easier to place in the pocket. It’s a big part of why the AllWave feels manageable when the surf is a bit weak, wobbly, or sectiony.

Rail and tail tuning: grip, drive, and a looser feel when you step back

Cleaner, more defined rails through the tail give you hold and acceleration as you push through a turn, while the swallow tail helps the board feel a touch looser and more playful rail-to-rail.

VEC (Vacuum Epoxy Construction): light, crisp, and built for proper use

This is Fanatic’s lightweight composite layup designed to keep weight down while reinforcing the high-stress areas (think fin boxes and stance zone). The benefit is a board that feels responsive underfoot, not dull or “spongy”.
