Will this cover the whole paddle shaft?
No. This is designed as a focused grip and hand-reference zone rather than a full shaft wrap. That is exactly why many paddlers like it: you get extra control without changing the overall feel of the paddle too much.
Will it fit an oval or tapered shaft?
It fits most standard shafts up to 9.5cm in circumference, but RS Pro specifically notes that it is not suitable for tapered shafts. On oval shafts, it is worth checking measurements before ordering.
Does it add noticeable weight?
No. At 6g, it is extremely light. On the water, the gain in grip and repeatable hand placement is far more noticeable than any weight change.
