The Foil Drive LR6 Low Range Propeller is a performance upgrade for riders who want more low-speed thrust, easier take-offs and better recovery when the board bogs down, touches down or starts to lose momentum.

Think of the LR6 as the lower gear option in the Foil Drive propeller range. It is not about chasing the highest possible top speed. It is about giving your Foil Drive system more bite at slower speeds, which is especially useful for heavier riders, smaller boards, smaller foils, messy water, wave riding and downwind-style use where instant drive can make the difference between flying and falling off foil.

Where The LR6 Sits In The Foil Drive Propeller Range

The standard Foil Drive propellers are the best place to start for most riders because they give a balanced feel across take-off, cruising and general use. The LR6 is the upgrade to choose when your priority is stronger low-end drive rather than maximum speed.

If you often ride in choppy UK conditions, want more help getting moving from a standstill, or need extra thrust to lift a smaller setup, the LR6 makes a lot of sense. If you are brand new to Foil Drive, we would normally suggest starting with the standard props first so you understand your baseline before tuning the feel of the system.

Who should choose the LR6 Low Range Propeller?

Choose the LR6 if you want more help at low speed, especially for take-offs, touchdowns, choppy water, wave riding, downwinding or heavier rider setups. It is best for riders who already understand their Foil Drive setup and want to fine-tune the feel.

Is the LR6 better than the standard Foil Drive propeller?

Not better for everyone, but better for a specific job. The standard propeller is the all-round baseline. The LR6 gives more low-end thrust and grip, but gives away a little top-end speed. If your priority is easier lift and stronger recovery, LR6 is the upgrade to look at.

Will the LR6 help me get up on foil more easily?

Yes, that is one of the main reasons to choose it. The extra low-speed thrust helps the board accelerate more confidently, which can make take-offs feel easier, particularly on smaller boards, smaller foils or in messy water.

Can I mix LR6 propellers with other Foil Drive propellers?

No. These propellers are supplied as a matched, balanced set. Mixing propellers from different sets can create vibration and is not recommended. Use the LR6 props together as supplied.

Are the hub and bolts included?

No. This product includes the LR6 propellers only. You will need the correct Foil Drive propeller hub and appropriate bolts for your chosen two or three-blade setup.
