It’s a compact, lightweight prone foil board with a flatter rocker for easy paddling speed, a slightly lifted nose to stop “sticking” on touchdowns, and a wide, confidence-boosting outline that makes small, soft waves genuinely fun.

The Crush SLS is Duotone’s dedicated prone surf foil platform — not a wing board and not a pump board. Compared with compact wing boards, the Crush feels more “paddle-friendly” and forgiving in the surf (especially through whitewater and touch-down recoveries). If your goal is prone foiling progression, wave catching, and linking, this is the cleanest option in the range. If you’re shopping for winging or downwind-specific performance, look at Duotone’s other foil board shapes instead.

4'10" (40L) adds paddle power and forgiveness for heavier riders or anyone who wants easier wave entry and a touch more stability. Duotone recommend it for riders under 90kg.

FAQs

Is the Crush SLS a wing foil board?

No — it’s a dedicated prone surf foil board designed for paddling into waves. It uses US tracks like most modern foil boards, but the shape/rocker/outline is tuned for paddle speed and touch-down forgiveness rather than wing starts.

Which size should I choose: 4'6" or 4'10"?

As a simple starting point: choose 4'6" (30L) if you’re lighter and want maximum agility, and choose 4'10" (40L) if you’re heavier or want easier paddling and earlier wave entry. If you tell us your weight, local wave size, and current foil, we’ll recommend the cleanest option.

Does it have strap inserts?

No — and that’s intentional. Duotone keep the Crush SLS clean and light for prone foiling, with no strap inserts to save weight.

Will it work with my foil?

If your foil uses a standard US track mount, you’re good. If you’re unsure about mast plate sizing or track-nut compatibility, message us and we’ll sanity-check it before you order.

Can you help me set the foil position?

Absolutely. Tell us your foil model and mast length, plus your weight and surfing background, and we’ll give you a starting position that gets you flying sooner — then how to fine-tune from there.

    Low rocker + paddle-speed bottom shape
    Less “banana” in the board means it accelerates more easily with a paddle. You feel it immediately in small surf — quicker glide, earlier take-offs, and less effort just getting moving.

    Wide, low-drag outline
    The fuller nose and tail aren’t just stability on the beach — they’re what make touch-downs and whitewater sections less punishing, so you can keep linking waves instead of resetting.

    Tail cut-outs
    Cut-outs help the board release from the water faster when you’re taking off, and reduce drag when you skim a touch-down. The result is earlier lift and less “stick”.

    Thin, clean deck
    A minimal, direct deck keeps you closer to the foil and improves control. It also helps pumping feel more efficient when you’re trying to connect sections.

    Longer carbon foil tracks
    More adjustment range makes it easier to fine-tune stance and foil balance, especially if you swap between foils or mast tracks.
