Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. The self-floating design and 3-speed control make it very approachable. Start on the lowest speed to get used to handling, then increase as confidence builds.
How long does it run for?
Jobe quote up to 2 × 37.5 minutes with the two batteries provided (up to 75 minutes total). Real-world runtime varies with speed setting, water temperature, and how hard the unit is working.
How fast is it?
It has three speed levels with a quoted top speed of up to 5km/h (3.1mph / 2.7 knots). That’s plenty for snorkelling, exploring, and towing yourself along without overworking.
Can I take it on a plane?
The batteries are described as “airplane safe carry-on” style, but airline lithium policies vary and can change. Always check your specific airline rules before flying and follow their packing/declaring requirements.
Can I use it in saltwater?
Yes, but rinse the scooter and batteries with fresh water after every saltwater session and follow the care instructions in the manual. Salt left to dry on anything electrical is where problems start.
What does a 30m depth rating actually mean?
It’s built and sealed to handle pressure to that depth rating. For most customers, it’s reassurance that it’s properly made for real use in the water. Use it within your experience level and always prioritise safe conditions.
Is it compatible with the 2023 model battery?
No. This version is listed as not compatible with the 2023 model battery, so keep batteries matched to the correct model year.
Can I mount a GoPro?
Yes. There’s a top mount designed for GoPro-style cameras so you can film your underwater runs without straps or improvised mounts.
