Description

The Eleveight RS V6 is the kite in the Eleveight range that makes sense for the widest range of riders. If you want one kite that feels easy to trust, enjoyable to fly and capable of covering everyday freeride, jumping, progression and general all-round use, this is the model most people should start with.

At The SUP Company, we tend to point riders towards the RS when they want a kite that feels sorted in real-world conditions rather than overly specialised on paper. It has the kind of smooth power delivery and direct feedback that helps newer riders progress, while still giving more experienced kiters enough speed, boost and responsiveness to keep sessions fun.

Where it sits in the Eleveight range

The RS V6 is the all-round crossover kite. If your focus is purely Big Air and storm-chasing, the XS V4 is the more specialist option. If you mainly ride waves or foil and want more drift and looser turning, the WS V5 is the better fit. If you are pushing harder into powered freestyle and want a more dedicated Open-C feel, the FS V5 is the step in that direction. For most riders though, the RS is the one that covers the broadest spread of conditions with the fewest compromises.

Why choose the Eleveight RS V6?

  • Excellent all-rounder for freeriding, boosting, carving and general progression
  • Smooth delivery of power so the kite feels supportive rather than intimidating
  • Fast enough turning to stay fun, but still stable and predictable in the sky
  • Good wind range and easy upwind performance make quiver building simpler
  • Works for riders who want one dependable kite model rather than multiple niche kites

FAQs

Is the RS V6 a good first kite?

For many riders, yes. It is not a no-performance school kite, but it is one of the more sensible choices if you want a first proper kite that you can continue using as your riding improves.

Who should not choose the RS V6?

If you already know you want a specialist Big Air machine, a dedicated freestyle kite or a more surf-specific drift kite, there are more focused options in the Eleveight range. The RS is for riders who value versatility.

What board pairs well with the RS V6?

For most freeriders, a board such as the Eleveight Process V6 Twin Tip is the logical match. If you are newer to kiting and want maximum forgiveness, the Eleveight Ignition V2 Twin Tip is also worth a look.

Specifications

  • Features

    Three-strut delta-hybrid design
The RS V6 uses a three-strut delta-hybrid layout, which is a big part of why it feels so versatile. In real terms, that means a kite that stays light and lively in the air, turns quickly, and still gives the stability and support riders want for freeride use.

    Smoother power generation
One of the big strengths of the RS V6 is how cleanly it develops power. Rather than feeling on/off or overly aggressive, it builds power in a more controlled way, which gives you more confidence when edging, loading for jumps or riding in variable conditions.

    Enhanced bar feedback
Eleveight refined the RS V6 to give a more direct feel through the bar. That matters because it helps you feel connected to the kite without needing lots of bar pressure. You get clearer feedback, easier timing and a kite that feels more intuitive session after session.

    Weight reduction across the range
A lighter kite generally feels more responsive and more efficient, particularly when turning, climbing in the window and staying composed when the wind softens. On the water, that translates into a kite that feels quicker and easier to manage.

    X4 ripstop canopy
The RS V6 uses Eleveight’s X4 ripstop canopy material for durability and long-term shape stability. For most riders, that means better resistance to wear and tear and a kite that keeps its feel well over time if it is looked after properly.

Big wind range and easy upwind travel
This is a key reason the RS has such a strong reputation. It does not just work in a narrow band of conditions. It is designed to stay efficient across a broad range, helping riders get going, stay comfortable when the wind increases, and make life easier when tracking back upwind.
