Description
The Duotone Unit SLS 5m 2026 Ex Demo with Fusion Boom is a very strong opportunity to pick up one of Duotone’s premium all-round wings at a reduced price, with the correct 96cm Duotone Fusion Boom included.
The Unit SLS sits between the standard Unit and the D/LAB in Duotone’s range. It gives regular riders a noticeably lighter, stiffer and more direct feel than the standard construction, without moving to the price and more specialist nature of the D/LAB. In 5m it makes an excellent main wing for a wide range of UK conditions.
This wing has been part of our demo fleet and may therefore show light cosmetic signs consistent with demo use. It represents particularly good value for a rider more interested in performance on the water than having a wing that has never been rigged.

The advantage of the Fusion Boom
Unlike a new Unit SLS wing-only purchase, this ex-demo package already includes the Duotone Fusion Boom. The 5m uses the Fusion Boom L at 96cm.
A boom gives you freedom to move your hands wherever they feel natural rather than having fixed grip positions. We particularly like it for pumping onto foil, gybes, tacks and powered freeriding, where being able to adjust hand position instinctively makes the wing feel extremely natural.

Wind ranges are a guide rather than a guarantee. Rider weight, foil size, board volume, ability and local conditions all have a significant effect on usable wing size.
Who does the 5m Unit SLS suit?
We would particularly recommend this to an intermediate or progressing rider who already has the fundamentals in place and now wants a wing that feels quicker and more precise. For many average-weight UK riders, a 5m is also one of the most useful sizes to build a quiver around.
If you are still working through your first waterstarts and flights, the standard Duotone wing range may offer better value. If you are already comfortably foiling, gybing or starting to ride more aggressively, the SLS becomes much easier to justify.

Yes. This particular ex-demo package includes the correct Duotone Fusion Boom L 96cm, so there is no need to purchase the boom separately.
What does Ex Demo mean?
The wing has been used as part of our demo equipment rather than being factory-new. Ex-demo equipment can show light marks or cosmetic signs associated with rigging, handling and use, which is reflected in the reduced price.
Is a 5m a good all-round wing size?
For many riders, yes. A 5m is one of the most commonly used wing sizes in UK conditions. Your ideal size still depends on your weight, foil, board, ability and the wind strength where you normally ride.
Should I choose the Unit SLS or standard Unit?
Choose the standard Unit if you want the most forgiving and cost-effective option. The SLS makes more sense once you are riding regularly and will appreciate lower weight, increased stiffness and quicker response.
Is the Unit SLS suitable for waves?
Yes. It is a very capable all-round wing for freeride, waves, jumps and general progression. Riders wanting a much more specialised drift and freefly wing should also consider the Duotone Float range.
