Who is the Sonic 18 best for?
It is best for experienced paddlers who already know they want a smaller, looser and more reactive fin for downwinders, technical ocean conditions or faster changes of direction.
Is the Sonic a good choice for improving intermediate paddlers?
Usually not as a first step. Most paddlers progressing into open-water use will find the Maliko or Ray easier to handle. The Sonic is more specialised and rewards experience.
