Key features explained

Airline technology

Starboard’s Airline system uses a pre-set aramid cable running from the nose, along the underside of the board and into the fin box area. When the board is inflated, the cable helps create extra tension through the board. On the water, that means a more responsive feel, better acceleration and less of the soft flex you can get from standard inflatable race boards.

Deluxe construction

The Deluxe build is there to make the board feel stiff, strong and refined without turning it into something awkward to live with. For paddlers who are training, racing or covering distance regularly, that extra stiffness matters because less energy is lost through board flex.

Welded rail technology

The welded rail construction creates a strong, airtight seam without relying purely on traditional glued seams. In simple terms, it is designed to improve long-term durability and help the board hold its performance over time.

Race-focused outline

The Sprint shape is narrow, clean and efficient. It rewards good technique and a tidy paddle stroke. The narrower sizes are genuinely quick but more demanding, while the wider sizes give you more confidence without losing the fast, efficient character of the board.
