Description

If you want a proper race-feel inflatable (without the storage, transport and roof-rack faff), the Starboard All Star Airline 14'0" Deluxe 2026 is one of the most convincing options we’ve paddled. It’s built for paddlers who care about speed and efficiency, but still want something that packs down for travel — and feels reassuring when the water gets messy.

This is the inflatable version of Starboard’s All Star race outline, tuned for real-world racing and training: rivers, estuaries, coastal chop and beach starts — the sort of sessions most of us actually do in the UK.

Where it sits in the range

The All Star Airline is the “do-it-all race board” shape: quick, predictable and confidence-building when conditions aren’t perfectly flat. If you’re mainly racing flatwater and chasing absolute top-end speed, you’d normally look at a more needle-nosed sprint-style outline — but if you want one board that can handle chop, turning and technical courses without feeling like hard work, this is the sweet spot.

Deluxe construction is the one to choose if you want the full Airline performance package (cable tension system, stiffness features and race-ready details).

Why choose the All Star Airline Deluxe?

  • Race-board stiffness in an inflatable: a tensioned cable system helps the hull hold its shape under load, so it feels more “board-like” when you put power down.
  • More control in chop: the dug-out style EVA standing tray lets you brace, steer and recover balance more easily when it’s bumpy.
  • Designed for UK-style racing: fast enough for flatwater, stable enough for coastal and technical courses.
  • Travel-friendly package: packs down with a wheeled bag and pump so it’s easy to store, transport and fly with.
  • Accessory-ready: FCS insert for GPS/phone/GoPro-style mounts so you can track sessions or race data.

Choose your width

Same fast 14' race platform — your choice is how much stability you want (and how hard you want to push).

  • 14'0" x 24.5" – for experienced racers and lighter paddlers who want maximum speed and don’t mind a livelier feel.
  • 14'0" x 26" – the best all-round option for most racers: quick, efficient, and much easier to manage in chop and turns.
  • 14'0" x 28" – confidence-first race/training width: ideal for bigger riders, rougher water, or stepping up from a touring board.

Helpful reading & buying advice

FAQs

Which width should I choose: 24.5", 26" or 28"?

If you’re already confident on race boards and want the quickest feel, go 24.5". For most paddlers (and most UK conditions), 26" is the best balance of speed and stability. If you’re stepping up from a touring board, paddling rougher water, or you simply want to race and train with more confidence, 28" makes life a lot easier without feeling slow.

Is this board only for racing?

It’s built for racing and fast training, but plenty of paddlers use it for fitness paddles and longer touring-style missions because it glides efficiently. The main thing to be honest about is stability: narrower widths reward good balance and technique.

Does it come with a paddle?

No — this package includes the bag, pump, leash and fin, but not a paddle as standard. If you want to add one, select an option above or browse our paddles and we’ll help you choose the right length and blade size.

What makes the Airline version feel stiffer than a normal inflatable?

The Airline system adds a tensioned cable and stiffness features that help the hull hold its intended shape when inflated. In simple terms: less flex under power, a cleaner glide, and a more connected “race board” feel.

Can I mount a GPS or action camera?

Yes — the board has an FCS insert so you can fit compatible mounts for GPS/phone holders or action cameras, which is ideal for training data and race tracking.

Can I try it before ordering?

Yes — book the Woodmill SUP Test Centre and we’ll help you compare widths and find the one that feels right for your weight, ability and local conditions.

Specifications

  • Features

    Airline Technology (tensioned aramid cable)
The “secret sauce” that gives these boards their race feel. As the board inflates, the cable comes under tension and helps the hull stay locked into shape — so it feels noticeably firmer when you’re sprinting, accelerating or paddling in chop.

    New Quick Tension System
Fine-tune cable tension quickly and securely. It’s a simple idea, but it helps keep the board feeling dialled when you want maximum performance.

Twin carbon stringers (deck) + carbon bottom stringer
Extra stiffening where it matters — less flex under power, better glide, and a more efficient feel over distance.

    EVA standing tray
A subtle “dug-out” feel that gives you something to push against. It helps you hold a wider stance, recover balance, and rail-steer the board with more control on choppy water.

    Race handles
Extra grab points for beach starts and tech race moments — surprisingly useful when you’re sprinting off the line.

    Race 23" Net Positive fin
Solid tracking and control for racing and training — especially when you’re putting power down at cadence.

    FCS insert
Add a mount for GPS / phone holder / action cam so you can record and analyse sessions.

    Welded rail technology
Airtight, mechanically bonded seams designed for long-term durability and fewer “glue seam” worries over time.

Packing note: because of the EVA side walls/standing tray design, this board is typically folded rather than tightly rolled — the included wheeled bag is shaped to make that easy.
