Is this enough for airline travel?
No. This is better thought of as light everyday protection. For flights or rougher transport, a proper padded board bag is the better choice.
Can I leave the foil fitted?
It is designed with extra length around the mast area, but in normal use we still recommend removing the foil before fitting the sock.
