Description

The AXIS Hybrid Carbon is a properly useful crossover foil board for UK conditions — the sort of shape that makes sense when you want one board that can cover SUP foiling, parawing sessions, and light-wind winging without committing to a full-length downwind specialist.

Go bigger and you’ve got a stable platform for paddle-ups and short-period bumps. Go smaller and you’ve got an efficient “get going early” wing board for marginal wind days. If you’re trying to maximise water time (rather than chase perfect forecasts), the Hybrid is a very smart choice.

Where the Hybrid sits in the AXIS foil board line-up

This is the “middle ground” between compact wing boards and long downwind boards — built for riders who want efficiency and glide, but still want a board that feels manageable on the water and on the beach.

  • Choose the Hybrid if you want a do-it-all shape for SUP foiling + parawing + light-wind winging, and you’d rather surf bumps than race from A to B.
  • Choose the AXIS Frank Mako if your priority is maximum glide and paddle-up efficiency for proper downwind runs (and you’re happy with a longer, narrower feel): AXIS Frank Mako Downwind.
  • Choose the AXIS Blast if you want a mid-length wing board feel with early take-off and tighter turning for wing-specific sessions: AXIS Blast Foil Board.
  • Choose the AXIS Frank Mini Dart if you want that “mid-length cheat code” feel dialled for glide/release (especially for modern disciplines like parawing): AXIS Frank Mini Dart Foil Board.

Why choose the AXIS Hybrid Carbon

  • More days on foil: the longer, narrower outline helps you build speed and release earlier — ideal when the wind is “nearly there”.
  • True crossover sizing: bigger volumes suit SUP foiling and stability; smaller sizes suit light-wind winging and parawing.
  • Confidence in short-period chop: the extra length helps tracking and reduces that “stuck to the water” feeling.
  • Light, stiff construction: carbon feel underfoot without turning the board into a fragile show pony.
  • Not just a downwind board cut short: it’s made for people who want to ride bumps and surf, not simply cover distance.

Specifications

  • Features

    Crossover mid-length outline
Longer than a compact wing board and narrower through the stance, so it accelerates cleanly and tracks when you’re taxiing for a start — especially handy for SUP foiling and parawing.

Carbon construction with a tough deck sandwich
Built around an EPS core with full carbon, plus a durable PVC sandwich layer on the top surface. The result is a board that feels crisp and responsive without being overly delicate.

    Reinforced mast track area
The mast tracks are supported by a super high-density foam block sandwiched between the deck and bottom — exactly where you want strength for repeated loading and travel wear-and-tear.

Size range that actually makes sense
90–130L covers everything from lighter/experienced wing foilers to bigger riders, SUP foil starts, and “I want it stable while I figure this out” progression.
