Duotone, a brand leader and innovator in wingsurfing, has introduced the Ventis & Ventis D/LAB; the latest innovation in light wind wing foiling. Designed to have you out on the water before anyone else in the lightest conditions with unmatched performance.
Each Ventis boasts a 3 strut design that provides not only exceptional lift and power in light wind environments but also ensure the airframe remains very rigid. Available in Duotoneβs proven strut and leading-edge construction, the Ventis is also available in the premium Aluula material for the leading edge and struts. While both use the MOD3 canopy material, the Aluula variant has achieved a lightweight and rigid frame that offers unparalleled performance.

Our recent demo event at our new wingsurfing focused shop and test centre, The SUP Co X Calshot, gave us the opportunity to try the new Ventis & Ventis D/Lab and they do not disappoint. The Ventis while looking huge, felt quite compact when on the water. The other striking thing we noticed was just how stiff the whole frame of the leading edge and three supporting struts made this wing feel. It went on to have a responsive feel with very impressive amounts of lift, effortlessly propelling us on to the foil without the need for excessive pumping. It was so intuitive and easy to use, we even found some relatively new riders getting on to foil for first time in the light wind demo conditions, easily controlling the wing and maintaining controlled, extended runs on foil.

Our experience isnβt by chance either, as Designer Ken Winner has leveraged the Ventisβs rigid and responsive 3-strut Aluula frame to reduce the wing tips, minimizing the chances of catching or dragging a wing tip. The end result, is the 7 and 8-meter wings are exceptionally user-friendly and accessible, working as options for smaller riders and those with less experience.
The inclusion of two additional struts has further enhanced the Ventis performance, creating a highly efficient canopy profile throughout the wingβs entire surface area. This optimization increases lift and power, while maintaining optimal canopy tension, flying stability, and de-power.

The Ventis D/LAB is equipped with a longer front handle, providing effortless handling when riding one-handed. While the central strut profile harmonizes with the handleβs ergonomics, resulting in a more comfortable hand angle and a straighter back arm. This ergonomic thought-out design allows for longer, more enjoyable sessions on the water.
We are in no doubt the new Duotone Ventis sets out the new standard for light wind wing performance, offering unmatched weight, responsiveness, lift, and power.
