The Duotone Foil Assist eMast AL Set is the aluminium mast and motor module for riders who want to build, repair or upgrade a Duotone Foil Assist system without buying the full package. It uses an 84cm aluminium eMast with the motor fully integrated into the mast, giving you powered assistance for take-offs, links and recovery while keeping the board feeling like a proper foil setup rather than a full eFoil.
This is the practical, value-led mast option in the Duotone Foil Assist range. It is ideal if you already have the battery system, eHarness, eRemote and compatible foil hardware, or if you are building a custom Foil Assist setup around your existing board and foil.

The eMast AL Set sits between the more forgiving Duotone eMast AL Cruise Set and the premium carbon Duotone eMast D/LAB Set. Choose the AL Set if you want a stiff, robust and cost-effective mast for prone foiling, downwind foiling, wake foiling and light-wind wing foiling.

This is not the right product if you are starting from scratch and need a full Foil Assist system. The eMast AL Set does not include the eHarness, batteries, remote, charger, foil board, front wing, rear wing, fuselage or adapter unless those items are purchased separately. For most first-time Foil Assist buyers, the complete Duotone Foil Assist Set AL is the cleaner route.

Is the Duotone eMast AL Set a complete Foil Assist system?
No. This is the aluminium mast and motor set only. You still need the eHarness, batteries, remote, charger, compatible foil board, foil and the correct fuselage adapter to complete the system.
What is the difference between the eMast AL Set and the Foil Assist Set AL?
The eMast AL Set is the mast and motor module. The Foil Assist Set AL is the complete assist package, including the AL eMast, eHarness, remote, batteries, charger and key accessories.
Who should choose the AL eMast instead of the D/LAB eMast?
Choose the AL eMast if you want a durable, stiff and better-value mast for everyday Foil Assist use. Choose the D/LAB version if you want the lightest, most refined carbon mast feel and are happy to pay for the premium upgrade.
Is the eMast AL Set suitable for beginners?
It can be used by progressing riders, but it is generally best for foilers who already have some foil experience. Complete beginners may be better served by a full matched setup or the more forgiving Cruise mast route.
Will it fit my foil board?
It is designed to fit foil boards with standard twin US foil tracks. You still need to check board volume, track position and foil compatibility before building your setup.
Can I use it with non-Duotone foils?
Yes, in many cases. The Duotone Foil Assist system uses brand-specific fuselage adapters, so compatibility depends on your foil brand and fuselage model.
Does it come with batteries?
No. The eMast AL Set includes a battery bag, but the Foil Assist batteries themselves are not included with this mast-only set.
Should I use a 2-blade or 3-blade propeller?
The included regular 2-blade propeller is the cleaner, lower-drag option for a natural glide feel. A 3-blade propeller can give stronger low-speed thrust and more obvious assistance for starts, but with a slightly different ride feel.
