The Duotone eMast D/LAB Set is the premium Foil Assist mast package for riders who want the cleanest, lightest and most responsive powered setup in the Duotone range. If you already understand what Foil Assist can do for prone, downwind, wake or light-wind wing sessions, this is the high-end mast module that gives you the sharpest ride feel once you are up and flying.
This is not the full ready-to-ride Foil Assist package. It is the mast set, which makes it ideal for riders who already have some Foil Assist components, want to build a system in stages, or want the best-performing mast option from day one.
Where the eMast D/LAB Set sits in the range
If you want the most direct, lively and low-drag feel possible, this is the one to choose. The D/LAB version uses a high modulus carbon construction and a slimmer profile than the aluminium options, so it feels more precise through turns, pumps and recoveries.
If you are more price-conscious and want a cheaper way into the same Foil Assist concept, the eMast AL Set is the value option. If you want the complete powered package with harness, batteries, charger and remote included, the better choice is the Duotone Foil Assist Set D/LAB.

Is the Duotone eMast D/LAB Set a complete Foil Assist package?
No. This is the premium mast set only. You still need the harness, batteries, charger, remote, board and compatible foil setup to create a working system.
Who should buy the D/LAB mast instead of the AL version?
Choose the D/LAB if you care most about ride feel, stiffness, lower drag and the most direct response once flying. Choose the AL version if you want a more affordable route into Foil Assist and are happy to trade a little refinement for lower cost.
Will it work with my current board?
Usually yes, provided your board uses standard US foil tracks. Duotone recommends pairing it with a board of at least 35L volume for the best overall Foil Assist performance.
Will it work with my current foil?
This is the part to check carefully. The eMast D/LAB uses a 3BS connection and is currently aimed at Duotone foils, plus Armstrong via the dedicated fuselage option. If you are unsure, it is worth checking compatibility before ordering.
What size front wing works best?
As a starting point, Duotone recommends a front wing of at least 900cm². That generally gives a more efficient, easier-running setup and helps battery performance too.
Why would I buy the mast set rather than the full Foil Assist set?
This makes sense if you are building a system in stages, replacing an existing mast module, or you already have some of the other Foil Assist components and just want the best-performing D/LAB mast option.
