The narrowest Futura is for technically accomplished paddlers already comfortable on very narrow race boards. With a recommended maximum rider weight of 77.1kg, it is the specialist option to consider when balance and footwork are firmly established. Assess your ability to paddle it through wash and turns, and when tired, before choosing it for its narrow dimensions.

14'0" x 22" — 256 litres

The 22" remains a committed race width, with a recommended maximum rider weight of 86.1kg. It is worth considering for experienced racers who want a narrow platform but need more width and volume than the 20.5". If you currently paddle a significantly wider board, make sure the reduction allows you to retain a full, confident stroke.

14'0" x 23.5" — 273 litres

The 23.5" provides an intermediate option, with a recommended maximum rider weight of 95.2kg. It is a useful size to assess if you want relatively narrow race-board proportions while allowing additional support for longer sessions, mixed surface conditions and confident movement towards the tail.

14'0" x 25" — 290 litres

The widest Futura has 290 litres of volume and a recommended maximum rider weight of 99.7kg. It is the starting point within this range for paddlers prioritising a more supportive platform or progressing from a wider race board. At 25", it is still a performance-focused choice rather than a conventional beginner SUP.

Our buying advice: choose the width that lets you maintain power and technique throughout your entire session. A board that requires repeated bracing or shortened strokes can cost you more speed than a little additional width.

Production colour and imagery

The Futura is listed in grey/white. Some launch photographs show a prototype with a black tail and an earlier tail-pad design. The production board will not have the black tail shown on that prototype and will use a different tail pad.
