Which Infinity board is right for you?

All-water race / fast touring: if you want one board that can handle wind-chop, tide and mixed UK water while still feeling quick, Infinity’s all-water shapes are the place to start. They’re designed to be efficient at pace without demanding perfect conditions.

Flatwater speed: if your paddling is mainly canals, rivers and sheltered water (and you’re chasing PBs), a flatter-water focused shape makes sense — faster acceleration, cleaner glide and higher top-end once you’re up to speed.

Surf SUP: for wave riding, Infinity’s surf shapes are built to turn and release properly, rather than feeling like a “race board that sort of surfs”. If you want a board that makes your local beach break more fun, this is where the BLURR/B-Line style boards come in.

If you tell us your height/weight, where you paddle, and what you want the board to do, we’ll point you at the best starting point (and the right width so it’s fast and enjoyable).

Popular Infinity models (what they’re known for)

Blackfish – the classic “all-water race” feel: efficient, predictable, quick once moving.

Whiplash – speed-focused design for paddlers who want maximum pace when conditions suit.

Everready – a versatile performance option that suits a wide range of paddlers and water states.

BLURR / B-Line – surf SUP shapes for riders who want proper turning and a lively feel on a wave.

Wide Speed – stability without giving up that performance feel (ideal if you want confidence at pace).

Don’t overlook the paddle

Upgrading your paddle is one of the quickest ways to improve your paddling. Infinity paddles like the Synergy-X and other performance blades are designed to give a clean catch and smooth power delivery — helping you hold speed longer and finish sessions less cooked.

Infinity FAQs

Which Infinity board is best for UK conditions?

For most UK paddlers, an all-water style board is the best starting point — it handles wind-chop, tide and mixed water while still feeling quick. If you mainly paddle flatwater, a narrower speed-focused shape can be faster once your balance is dialled.

Blackfish vs Whiplash vs Everready — what’s the difference?

Think of it as a spectrum: Blackfish is the proven all-water race feel, Whiplash leans more towards outright speed when conditions suit, and Everready sits as a versatile performance option for paddlers who want one board to cover a lot of sessions.

Should I prioritise speed or stability when choosing width?

Stability wins for most people. A board that’s slightly wider but paddled confidently is usually faster over real distance than a narrow board you’re constantly correcting. If you’re unsure, tell us your weight, ability and typical water and we’ll recommend the right width.

Do Infinity boards suit beginners?

Infinity is mainly aimed at performance paddlers, but a stable width (or a model like Wide Speed) can absolutely work for progressing beginners who want to grow into a faster board. The key is getting the right size for your weight and balance.

Is an Infinity paddle worth it?

If you paddle regularly, a better paddle is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make. A quality blade and shaft feel smoother through the catch, reduce fatigue, and help you hold speed — especially on longer paddles or training sessions.
