AXIS Blast Foil board

This is AXIS's mid length wing board which comes in a good range of sizes. The shape is narrower and longer than the Froth and helps the boards get going earlier and also turn harder. The construction is AXIS' bombproof layup including pvc layers top and bottom. A new mint colour replaces the classic red but still stands out from the crowd. The larger sizes work perfectly for intermediates, whilst the smaller ones will keep more progressive riders happy.

Blast boards come complete with an AXIS board bag made to fit.

Fast, narrow, efficient.

The new AXIS Blast winging foil boards are quick to take off with narrower outlines and longer lengths. The narrower width is great for tight turns into the face of swells. We have also changed the deck pad to have raised rails and grooves that allow the water to move off the pad quicker, resulting in better grip and no slippage. Our winging racing crew loves the smaller sizes as they are efficient through the wind. The full Carbon construction, with PVC top and bottom, has longer tracks and is Foil Drive approved. The Blast boards pair well with the newer higher aspect front wings, such as the Fireball and ART v2, as these benefit from the higher take-off speed.

How to size your Froth

Unique to Axis is the large range of sizes that will ensure you can achieve the volume that’s right for you. For wingers starting out, we recommend 20-40 litres more than your body weight in kilograms. Intermediate riders should drop down to roughly the same litres as their body weight (or 10-15 litres above), while advanced riders can go as small as you dare – the only limit is your athleticism and the steadiness of the wind conditions. If it’s gusty, stay closer to your body weight in litres. SUP foilers will naturally gravitate to the largest sizes in the range.
