The AXIS Advance+ B-Series Fuselages are for riders who want their foil to feel looser, more reactive and more connected in the turn. Built around AXIS’ Black/B-Series platform, this is the more progressive fuselage option for surf, prone, wake and performance-focused wing foiling where quicker turn initiation matters more than maximum straight-line tracking.
If your current setup feels a little too planted or you want a more surfy feel without changing your entire foil, this is one of the smartest tuning changes you can make. It is a specialist upgrade rather than a default choice for everyone, which is exactly why it matters.
Where It Sits in the AXIS Range
Think of the Advance+ B-Series as the sportier, more reactive version of the regular AXIS Black Series Fuselage. It moves the mast position further forward to make the foil feel more alive under your feet and easier to roll into turns.
If you mainly want calm tracking, locked-in speed and easier upwind stability, the regular Black Series Fuselage is usually the better call. If you are on the Red platform rather than Black/B-Series, look instead at the AXIS Red Series Fuselage or AXIS Advance Red-Series Fuselages. If you are building around AXIS’ wider modern Fatty platform, the step across is the AXIS Advance+ FATTY Black Fuselages.

Choosing the Right Size

Riders using the AXIS Fireball Front Wings will generally lean towards the Short for longer, more composed runs, or the Ultrashort for a more surfy, playful feel.

Who should buy the AXIS Advance+ B-Series fuselage?
This is best for intermediate to advanced riders who want a looser, more surfy feel from their foil. If you are pushing harder in turns, riding waves, or want quicker response under your feet, this is where it starts to make sense.
Is it better than the regular AXIS Black Series fuselage?
Not universally, no. It is better if your priority is turning, responsiveness and a more connected feel. The regular Black Series is still the stronger choice for riders who want more tracking, easier upwind stability and a calmer ride at speed.
Should I go shorter than my current fuselage?
In many cases, yes. Because the mast sits further forward, the foil can feel longer through the rear section than the number alone suggests. A lot of riders moving to Advance+ will sensibly drop down one size.
Will this work for wing foiling?
Yes, but it is aimed more at riders who want a lively, surfier wingfoil feel rather than maximum locked-in efficiency. If your sessions are mostly about carving and feel, it is a great option. If they are mostly about speed, tracking and easy upwind work, the standard Black fuselage may suit you better.
Will it fit my AXIS setup?
It needs to match an AXIS setup that uses the Black/B-Series fuselage platform. If you are on a Red-series system, this is not the right fuselage. If you are unsure, ask us before ordering and we will match it properly to your mast and wings.
Do I need to move my foil position in the boxes?
Yes. Because the mast position is shifted forward on the fuselage, you will usually need to move your baseplate position further forward in the boxes to keep the front wing in a familiar place under the board.
