The Axis Mast Tuttle Head Adaptor is a precision-engineered component that allows you to mount any Axis 19mm Aluminium Mast into a board with a Tuttle or Deep Tuttle box. While most modern foil boards use the twin-track US plate system, many dedicated windsurf-foil boards and high-performance kite or SUP foil boards still rely on the Tuttle connection. This adaptor ensures you can use your high-performance Axis setup across multiple board types without needing to buy a second mast.
Within the Axis modular ecosystem, this adaptor sits as the alternative to the standard 19mm Base Plate. It is specifically for riders moving between different sports—such as transitioning from windsurf foiling to winging—or for those who own a custom board with a fixed Tuttle box. If your board has two long parallel tracks, you do not need this; you require the Axis 19mm Base Plate instead.

Will this fit my Axis Carbon Mast?
No. This adaptor is specifically designed for the Axis 19mm Aluminium Mast. Carbon masts have a proprietary head construction and do not use this modular adaptor system.
What is the difference between Tuttle and Deep Tuttle?
Deep Tuttle boxes are taller to handle the increased leverage of larger foils (common in windsurfing). This adaptor is designed to fit both; however, in a standard Tuttle box, there will simply be more bolt length required through the board.
Do I need to grease the adaptor?
We always recommend using a specialized marine lubricant like Tef-Gel on the bolts and the connection point between the mast and the adaptor to prevent galvanic corrosion in saltwater environments.
