The Code Foils AR Series Tail Wing is the stable, smooth and confidence-building rear wing in the Code Foils range. It is designed for riders who want a clean balance of glide, carving control and predictable pitch, rather than chasing the smallest or fastest tail possible.

This is the tail wing we would point many Code riders towards if they want one setup that feels composed across wing foiling, prone foiling, SUP foiling, downwind practice and general surf-style riding. It gives the foil a settled, easy-to-read feel underfoot, which is especially useful when conditions are choppy, gusty or inconsistent.

Where the AR Tail Sits in the Code Foils Range

The AR tail is the more controlled and forgiving option compared with Code’s higher-aspect performance tail designs. Choose the AR Series if you want more hold through turns, easier pitch control and a smoother feel when learning, progressing or tuning a setup for varied UK conditions.

Smaller AR sizes feel looser and more surf-orientated. Larger AR sizes add stability, low-speed support and confidence, particularly for bigger riders, learners and downwind riders who want the foil to stay composed when speed drops.

Which Size Should You Choose?

If you are unsure, the 150AR and 158AR are the safest starting points for many progressing riders. They offer the best blend of stability, carving and everyday performance.

Choose the 142AR if you are already confident and want the foil to feel looser and more responsive. Choose the 166AR, 175AR or 188AR if you want more pitch stability, more low-speed support, or you are pairing the tail with a larger front wing for lighter wind, downwind or learning.
