The Duotone Aero Mid QM SLS is a high-performance carbon mast that fills the gap between the ultra-stiff Aero SLS and the razor-thin Mast Slim D/LAB. For 2026, it introduces the Quickmount (QM) technology to the carbon range, offering the perfect blend of high-end carbon response and "no-tools" convenience.

The Profile: "The Golden Middle"

The "Mid" in the name refers to its specialized profile thickness. It is engineered to be thinner and more aerodynamic than the standard Aero SLS (reducing drag for higher speeds), yet it maintains higher bending and torsional stiffness than the ultra-slim D/LAB masts. This makes it the ideal choice for riders using larger wingspans (like the Free 2.0 1600/1900 or Glide 2.0 1350) who need a mast that won't flex under heavy leverage.

Comparison: Mid QM vs. Slim D/LAB

  • Aero Mid QM SLS: Focuses on convenience and stiffness for large wings. It’s the better choice if you frequently swap boards or use wings over 100cm in span.

  • Mast Slim 2.0 D/LAB: Focuses on absolute minimum drag and minimum weight. It is thinner (13.5mm–14.5mm) and optimized for high-speed performance, but it lacks the Quickmount convenience.

Expert Verdict: The Aero Mid QM SLS is the smartest choice for 90% of riders. It gives you the "carbon feel"—stiff, light, and direct—but removes the biggest headache of carbon masts (the assembly time). If you hate wasting 10 minutes bolting your foil together, this is your solution.
