Description
Duotone Evo SLS 7m – 2026 – Used
This 2026 Duotone Evo SLS 7m is a very lightly used example in excellent condition, with no more than approximately four hours of use. It is an excellent opportunity to pick up one of Duotone's premium performance all-round kites without paying new-kite pricing.
The Evo SLS sits in the sweet spot of the Duotone performance range. It is lighter, stiffer and more reactive than the standard Evo, while remaining more accessible and versatile than the more specialist Evo D/LAB. For riders who want one kite capable of freeride, boosting, loops, hooked freestyle and wave sessions, it is one of the strongest all-round choices in the range.

If you are more interested in getting current-generation SLS performance on the water than having a completely unused kite, this represents particularly good value.
Why Choose the Evo SLS?
The Evo SLS is Duotone's performance all-rounder. Rather than being designed around one very specific discipline, it combines strong jumping performance with predictable handling, good depower and quick steering.
- Fast, responsive steering – the refined 2026 tip design turns more quickly and gives the kite a noticeably more playful feel.
- Excellent jumping performance – explosive lift and strong hangtime make it particularly appealing for freeride and big-air progression.
- Controlled through gusts – the supported SLS frame keeps the kite composed when the wind becomes less consistent.
- Direct bar feedback – steering input is easy to read, helping with timing jumps, loops and powered transitions.
- Versatile riding style – equally at home cruising on a twintip, jumping, practising kiteloops or carving a directional board.
Who Is the 7m Evo SLS For?
The 7m is the strong-wind size in an Evo SLS quiver. It makes most sense for an intermediate to advanced rider looking for a smaller kite that remains controlled when powered but still has the speed and response needed for jumping and loops.
It is particularly well suited to riders who already have a larger everyday kite and want to extend their usable wind range into stronger conditions. Duotone quotes a broad 18–38 knot wind range for the 7m, although rider weight, board choice, sea state and experience all have a significant effect on suitable kite size.

2026 Evo SLS Improvements
The 2026 Evo SLS received useful refinements rather than simply a cosmetic update. The tips use more aggressive tapering and an additional leading-edge segment, increasing turning speed and helping steering inputs transfer into the kite more cleanly.
In real terms, that means a 7m that feels quick without becoming vague or nervous. This is especially useful when initiating loops, making rapid corrections in stronger wind or redirecting the kite for landings.
SLS Construction
SLS stands for Strong Light Superior and marks Duotone's premium performance construction below D/LAB. The Evo SLS uses materials including Penta TX within the frame to reduce weight and stretch while increasing structural stiffness.
The advantage is not simply having a lighter kite on the beach. A stiffer frame changes how accurately the kite responds under load, particularly when powered. Steering feels more immediate, the canopy holds its intended shape more consistently and jump timing becomes easier to read.
Duotone Evo vs Evo SLS vs Evo D/LAB
| Model | Best For | Character |
|---|---|---|
| Duotone Evo | Freeride and progression | Accessible, dependable and better value |
| Duotone Evo SLS | Performance freeride, jumping, loops and all-round riding | Lighter, stiffer and more responsive |
| Duotone Evo D/LAB | Maximum-performance riders | Lightest, most direct and most premium option |
For a regular rider who wants a meaningful performance upgrade without moving all the way to D/LAB pricing and construction, the Evo SLS is arguably the most balanced option of the three.

FAQs
What condition is this Duotone Evo SLS 7m in?
This is a used 2026 kite in excellent condition with no more than approximately four hours of use.
Is the Evo SLS suitable for beginners?
It is not the kite we would normally choose specifically as a first-kite purchase. The Evo SLS is aimed more towards progressing intermediate through advanced riders who will benefit from its quicker steering, lighter construction and more direct handling.
Is the 7m only for big-air riding?
No. Although the Evo SLS is an excellent jumping kite, its appeal is its versatility. The 7m can be used for powered freeride, hooked freestyle, loops and wave riding as well as big air.
What wind range does Duotone give the 7m?
Duotone lists the 7m Evo SLS with an 18–38 knot wind range. Treat this as a manufacturer's reference rather than a fixed rule: rider weight, ability, board size and local conditions all affect appropriate kite sizing.
What bar setup is recommended?
Duotone recommends 22m lines and its small bar setting for the 7m. Browse our kite bar collection, or contact us if you want us to check compatibility with a bar you already own.
Why buy the SLS rather than the standard Evo?
The SLS makes most sense for riders who can appreciate a lighter, stiffer and more responsive kite. If maximum value and straightforward freeride performance are the priorities, the standard Evo is sufficient for many riders. If quicker handling, jump performance and more precise feedback matter, the Evo SLS is the stronger choice.
