The Duotone Aero Slim D/LAB Carbon Mast, is the lightest Duotone mast and the highest performing with the least amount of drag due to its slim mast section. After nearly two years of rigorous research and development, these carbon masts have been popular with those wanting the best Duotone has to offer. The Duotone Aero Slim D/LAB Carbon Mast uses the same proven design as the outgoing Fanatic T/E (Team Edition) Collab Carbon Mast.

The Duotone Aero Slim D/LAB Carbon Mast might not be the stiffest in the Duotone Carbon Mast range (that honour goes to the Duotone Aero SLS Carbon Mast) but it is the fastest and the lightest – around 300g lighter than the Aero SLS mast.

What sets the Aero Slim D/LAB mast apart is the higher level of flex response, giving it a more playful character, particularly when turning. This mast is best suited to lightest advanced riders and for use with wings that are less than 100cm in span.

The Duotone Aero Slim D/LAB Mast is available in two different length masts enabling you to tailor your foiling experience by choosing the ideal mast length based on your skills, discipline, and prevailing conditions:

  • 82cm: Versatile and suitable for all-round, surf, freestyle, and downwind riding. This "one for all" carbon mast strikes a balance between compactness for freestyle and the length needed for surfing and swell. This 82 cm size is the most popular option in the range.
  • 90cm: Tailored for freeride, surf, and downwind adventures. The additional length of this carbon mast makes it perfect for wing foilers looking for extra room to clear chop and open ocean swell It's also the go-to size for Windsurf Foilers.

Compatibility is key, and these components are fully interchangeable between Duotone Aero Carve, Duotone Aero Glide, Duotone Aero Lift, and Duotone Aero Free foil wings, as well as all outgoing Fanatic foils.

    High modulus carbon construction: This is a premium carbon mast designed to feel crisp, direct and efficient. On the water, that translates into quicker acceleration, a cleaner release and a more refined connection between rider and foil.

    Slim, low-drag profile: The big appeal of the Aero Slim D/LAB is how little resistance it creates. That lower drag helps the mast feel fast and smooth, particularly once you are linking turns, carrying speed and trying to get the most glide out of smaller foil setups.

    More playful than the stiffer alternatives: This mast is not all about brute stiffness. Part of its appeal is the slightly more lively flex response, which gives it a more flowing, manoeuvrable feel in turns. For the right rider, that makes it more fun rather than more demanding.

    Best with smaller front wings: Duotone recommend this mast for wings up to 100cm span. In plain English, this is not the mast for oversized, high-span foil setups where maximum stiffness is the priority. It is built for more compact, performance-oriented combinations.

    Two practical lengths: The 82cm is the more versatile all-round choice, balancing control, compactness and enough clearance for surf, freestyle and general wingfoiling. The 90cm gives more room in chop and open water, making it the better fit for riders who want more clearance at speed or who are riding rougher water.
