Description

The Fanatic iSUP Package Blitz Air SLT is the board for paddlers who want touring glide without stepping onto something narrow, twitchy or awkward to live with. It sits in that very useful middle ground: faster and straighter than a typical all-round board, but more forgiving and confidence-inspiring than a full-on race-inspired shape.

If your paddling is likely to be rivers, estuaries, harbours, canals, lakes, fitness paddles and longer exploratory sessions, the Blitz Air SLT makes a lot of sense. It is especially appealing if you value a board that is light to carry, easy to roll away and compact enough to make regular use feel simple rather than a faff.

Where the Blitz Air SLT sits in the Fanatic range

This is not the “one board for the whole family” choice, and that is exactly why it works so well for the right paddler.

If you want maximum all-round stability for learning, beach days and casual mixed use, look at the Fanatic Fly Air SLT iSUP Package. If you want a more classic touring shape with a calmer, more distance-focused feel, look at the Fanatic iSUP Package Ray Air SLT.

The Blitz Air SLT is the one to choose if you want a sportier feel than an all-round board, but you still want reassuring width under your feet for UK conditions, choppy water and real-world touring.

Why choose the Fanatic Blitz Air SLT?

  • Faster paddling with less effort – the longer, straighter outline helps the board glide and track more efficiently than a typical all-round SUP.
  • More stable than many faster boards – the added width keeps it calmer in chop, on rivers and during longer sessions when fatigue creeps in.
  • Light to carry and easy to store – SLT construction keeps weight down and helps the board roll smaller for transport and storage.
  • A better fit for regular paddlers – ideal for fitness paddles, weekend touring and covering more distance without jumping straight to a race board.
  • Travel-friendly package – you get a complete setup that is much easier to move around than older, bulkier inflatable packages.

Which size should you choose?

11'2" x 32" is the better choice for lighter paddlers, everyday touring, fitness paddles and anyone who wants the more lively, nimble feel of the two sizes.

12'0" x 33" is the better choice if you are taller, heavier, want a little more stability, or plan to carry extra kit for longer outings.

If you are between sizes, this is exactly the sort of board that is worth trying first at our SUP Test Centre in Southampton.

Package includes

Please note: an optional kayak seat can be attached via the extra D-rings, but it is not included in the package.

Helpful reading & buying advice

Is the Fanatic Blitz Air SLT suitable for beginners?

Yes, for the right kind of beginner. If you know you want to do more than casual beach paddling and you like the idea of longer, straighter, more efficient sessions, the Blitz Air SLT is a very sensible step in. If your priority is pure stability, mixed family use or your very first board, the Fly Air SLT is usually the easier starting point.

What is the difference between the Blitz Air SLT and the Fly Air SLT?

The Fly Air SLT is the more all-round, general-purpose board. It is the better choice for learning, family paddling and maximum confidence. The Blitz Air SLT is the step towards touring and fitness paddling, with better glide and straighter tracking.

What is the difference between the Blitz Air SLT and the Ray Air SLT?

The Ray Air SLT is the more traditional touring option. The Blitz Air SLT keeps some of that touring efficiency, but adds a touch more width and reassurance underfoot. If you want a board that feels sportier than an all-rounder without becoming too specialist, the Blitz is the sweet spot.

Which size is best: 11'2 or 12'0?

Choose the 11'2 if you are lighter, want the livelier feel, or mostly paddle for fitness and shorter touring sessions. Choose the 12'0 if you are heavier, taller, want extra stability, or plan to carry more kit on longer paddles.

Why does the lighter SLT construction matter in the real world?

Because ownership is not just about how a board feels on the water. A lighter, more compact board is easier to carry from the car, easier to roll up afterwards and easier to store at home. For many paddlers, that convenience is what makes the difference between paddling often and leaving the board in the cupboard.

Specifications

  • Features

    SLT construction
SLT stands for Stiff, Light, Tough. In practice, that means the Blitz Air feels more direct on the water, is easier to carry to the launch spot, and rolls away more compactly afterwards. That matters more than people think, because a board that is easier to handle tends to get used more often.

Touring glide without the nervous feel
The Blitz combines a straighter, touring-style outline with more width than a classic narrow tourer. The result is a board that moves cleanly and holds a line well, but still feels friendly enough for paddlers who are not chasing race-board levels of narrowness.

    Welded construction
The welded rail construction improves durability and reduces unnecessary weight. That is good news for long-term ownership and for anyone who wants a premium-feeling inflatable that still packs down properly.

    Split EVA deck pad
The deck pad is comfortable underfoot, grippy when wet and designed to keep the board feeling practical to use. The split layout also helps reduce bulk when the board is rolled up.

US split box with Race 23 fin
A proper touring-style fin setup helps the Blitz track straighter and feel more planted, especially when you are trying to cover distance rather than just potter around close to shore.

    Useful touring details
A front cargo bungee lets you carry a jacket or dry bag, the combo mount gives you somewhere to attach an action camera or tow point, and the extra D-rings allow for optional seat compatibility if you want more versatility later on.
