Description
Description
The Foil Drive MHR10 Mid-High Range Propeller is a performance upgrade for riders who want more top-end speed, stronger mid-range drive and improved efficiency once they are up and foiling. It is designed for riders who already have consistent take-offs and want to fine-tune how their Foil Drive system feels on faster runs, swell lines and longer cruising sections.
Compared with the standard Foil Drive propellers, the MHR10 uses a blade that is 10% wider while keeping the same overall diameter. In plain English, that gives the propeller more blade area to work with, improving grip, surface motoring control and mid-range efficiency. The trade-off is that it gives away some low-end thrust, so it is not the easiest option for early take-offs or heavier riders trying to maximise lift from standstill.
Where the MHR10 Sits in the Foil Drive Propeller Range
Think of the MHR10 as the speed and efficiency option within the Foil Drive propeller range. If your priority is easier take-off, low-speed recovery or more shove when using smaller boards and foils, the Low Range LR6 style of propeller will usually make more sense. If you are happy with your starts and want your setup to feel more efficient once moving, the MHR10 is the more performance-focused choice.
It is especially well suited to light and mid-weight riders, confident e-foilers, swell chasers and riders using Foil Drive to keep pace with faster bumps or open-water runs.
Why Choose the Foil Drive MHR10 Propeller?
- More top-end speed: ideal for chasing faster swell, bumps and open-water sections.
- Stronger mid-range thrust: helps the system feel more efficient once you are already moving.
- Improved cruising efficiency: designed to reduce the effort required to maintain foiling speed.
- Better surface grip: the larger blade area helps the propeller feel more planted when motoring on the surface.
- Smoother power delivery: useful for riders who want a more controlled feel rather than just more low-end punch.
- Matched and balanced set: supplied as three individually weighed and balanced propellers for smooth running.

FAQs
Who should choose the Foil Drive MHR10 propeller?
Choose the MHR10 if you are already confident getting up on foil and want more speed, better mid-range efficiency and a more controlled feel when chasing faster swell or cruising on foil. It is best suited to intermediate and advanced riders rather than complete beginners.
Is the MHR10 better than the standard Foil Drive propeller?
Not automatically. The standard propeller remains the best all-round choice for many riders. The MHR10 is a more specialised upgrade for riders who want more top-end speed and mid-range efficiency and are happy to give away some low-end thrust.
Will the MHR10 make take-offs easier?
Generally, no. The MHR10 is more focused on speed and efficiency once moving. If you need more low-end thrust for easier starts, smaller boards, heavier riders or low-speed recovery, a lower-range propeller option is likely to be the better choice.
Can I mix MHR10 blades with standard Foil Drive blades?
No. Foil Drive propeller sets are individually weighed and balanced, so blades should not be mixed between different propeller types or sets. Mixing blades can cause vibration and unnecessary wear.
Does this include the hub and bolts?
No. This package includes the three matched MHR10 propeller blades only. The hub and M3 x 30mm three-blade bolts are not included, so check your current setup before ordering.
