Foil Drive Universal Mini Pod
The Foil Drive Universal Mini Pod is a low-drag, toolless motor pod for riders who want a cleaner and more efficient Foil Drive setup without committing to an integrated mast.
It uses a smaller, more streamlined pod shape to reduce wetted surface area, drag and turbulence around the motor. In real terms, that means smoother surface motoring, easier take-offs, cleaner touchdowns and a ride feel that sits much closer to an integrated mast, while still being fully removable and adaptable across compatible masts.
For riders already using Foil Drive and looking to refine their setup, this is one of the most practical upgrades available. It makes mast swaps quicker, reduces the amount of hardware involved and helps the motor feel less intrusive once you are up and riding.
Who Is It For?
The Universal Mini Pod is best suited to Foil Drive riders who want a more performance-focused universal mounting option. It makes particular sense for surf foil, wing foil, downwind, prone, pump training and flat water riders who want to reduce drag and make their assist setup feel cleaner on the water.
It is also a good choice if you use more than one mast and want to move your motor between setups quickly. Once the Inner Pod has been mounted to the motor, the toolless strap and latch system allows the pod to be attached or removed in seconds.

Compatibility
The Foil Drive Universal Mini Pod is compatible with V2 Motors with a removable cable. The Inner Pod mounts directly to the V2 Motor using the four supplied M4 x 16mm bolts.
It is designed to fit almost every mast on the market using three included strap sizes and a seven-position ladder adjustment system. The strap size is selected based on the chord width, which is the widest point of your mast.

Most masts use the Medium strap. If your mast is outside these dimensions or has an unusual shape, we recommend checking fitment before purchase. You can contact us for advice or visit one of our stores for help with compatibility.
Installation Notes
The Mini Pod is almost completely toolless in day-to-day use. The only tool-based step is the initial one-time mounting of the Inner Pod to the motor using the supplied M4 x 16mm bolts. Once that has been done, the strap and latch system allows the pod to be attached and removed from the mast without tools.
The included Mast Cable Guide helps route the motor cable neatly along the mast. You will also need electrical tape or similar to secure the motor cable to the mast. Tape is not included.

What performance improvement should I expect?

Is this better than an integrated Foil Drive mast?
