Description

The ION Ballistic Boots 3/2 Internal Split (IS) are the pinnacle of ION’s premium footwear line. While the Plasma range offers great value, the Ballistic series is built for riders who refuse to compromise on protection or board feel. For 2026, these boots continue to set the standard with a Kevlar (Aramid) outsole that is practically puncture-proof against sharp reefs, rocks, and mussel beds, while the Internal Split provides the most precise board control in the range.

Thickness: 3mm (Main Body) / 2mm (Flex zones).

In ION's cold-water accessories range, the Ballistic name points to the more protective, more rugged end of the line-up. Choose it if you ride harder, launch off rough ground, or simply want something that feels more robust under regular use.

    Internal Split (IS): A "hidden" split between the big toe and the rest of the foot. This eliminates "foot-roll" inside the boot during aggressive turns and jibes, giving you the grip of a split-toe with the warmth of a round-toe design.

    Aramid (Kevlar) Outsole: A robust, bullet-proof sole that allows you to walk over the sharpest obstacles without hesitation. It is incredibly tough but remains thin enough to provide an unmatched "barefoot" feedback.

    Plasma_Plush 2.0: A premium high-pile interior lining that traps air for superior heat retention. Its vertically aligned channels quickly transport moisture away, so your boots dry faster between sessions.

    Max_Flex Outer Lining: ION’s most advanced outer lining. The unique rhombus-shaped structure allows for extreme flexibility. Crucially, the material doesn't soak up water, keeping the boots lightweight and reducing wind chill.

    External Shoehorn: A reinforced panel at the heel helps you slide your feet into the boots effortlessly, even with cold or numb hands.

    Velcro Strap: Runs across the entire front of the foot to ensure a perfect, stabilized fit and prevent the boot from shifting under heavy load.
