Description

Moloko 10'6 Alto Inflatable SUP Package

The Moloko 10'6 Alto is a stable, easy-going inflatable paddleboard package for new paddlers, families and relaxed all-round SUP use. At 10'6" x 32", it sits in the classic all-round size category: wide enough to feel reassuring underfoot, but not so big that it becomes awkward to carry, store or paddle.

This is the Moloko board to choose if you want one simple setup for lakes, sheltered rivers, estuaries, flat-water cruising and easy coastal paddling in sensible conditions. It is approachable for beginners, useful for occasional paddlers and still enjoyable once your confidence improves.

Where the 10'6 Alto fits in the Moloko range

The 10'6 Alto is the more compact all-round option in the Moloko inflatable SUP range. If you want a board that feels slightly easier to handle on and off the water, this is the Alto we would usually start with.

If your priority is maximum stability, a larger paddler fit or occasional family passenger use, look at the Moloko 10'8 Alto Inflatable SUP Package. If you want better glide and straighter tracking for longer paddles, step up to the Moloko 12'6 Tempo Inflatable SUP Package.

Who is it best for?

  • Beginners who want a stable, confidence-building first paddleboard
  • General leisure paddlers using sheltered rivers, lakes, estuaries and calm coastal water
  • Smaller to medium-sized adult paddlers who do not need the extra width of the 10'8 Alto
  • Families wanting a complete inflatable SUP package that stores neatly at home or in the car
  • Paddlers who value sensible performance, good package contents and straightforward ownership

Who may want a different board?

If you are close to the upper paddler weight limit, want to carry a child or dog regularly, or simply want the most stable Moloko option, the Moloko 10'8 Alto will be the better choice. If you plan to cover longer distances, paddle for fitness or explore more efficiently, the longer Moloko 12'6 Tempo will glide better and track more cleanly.

Why choose the Moloko 10'6 Alto?

  • Stable 32" width: gives new paddlers a reassuring platform without making the board feel oversized.
  • All-round 10'6 shape: easy to turn, simple to paddle and suitable for a wide range of calm-water sessions.
  • Rigid when inflated properly: designed to be inflated to 18–20 PSI for a firmer, more predictable feel underfoot.
  • Useful deck layout: multiple carry handles and front bungee storage make launching, landing and carrying kit easier.
  • Complete package: includes the board, bag, paddle, pump, leash and phone case, so you are not piecing the basics together afterwards.
  • Practical transport: the included Moloko Echo iSUP wheeled backpack bag helps with storage, travel and moving the board from car to water.

Included paddle: better than a basic throw-in

The included Moloko Hybrid 3 Piece Paddle is a practical match for this board. It packs down neatly with the inflatable SUP, adjusts between 166cm and 210cm, and uses a composite shaft with a nylon blade for dependable recreational paddling.

For most first-time and casual paddlers, it is a sensible starting paddle. If you start paddling more frequently and want a lighter, more direct feel, upgrading to a stiffer paddle later is one of the best ways to improve your setup.

Buying advice from The SUP Company

The 10'6 Alto is a strong choice if you want a straightforward all-round inflatable SUP package that is easy to live with. It is not trying to be a race board, a specialist touring board or a surf SUP. Its strength is that it makes regular paddleboarding simple: inflate it, paddle it, pack it away and enjoy it without overthinking the setup.

If you are unsure whether the 10'6 Alto, 10'8 Alto or 12'6 Tempo is right for you, visit our SUP Test Centre at Woodmill, Southampton. Testing boards back-to-back on sheltered water is the best way to feel the real difference between stability, glide and overall handling.

FAQs

Is the Moloko 10'6 Alto good for beginners?

Yes. The 10'6 Alto is designed as a stable, easy all-round inflatable paddleboard. Its 32" width gives new paddlers a reassuring platform while keeping the board manageable to carry, turn and store.

What weight paddler is the Moloko 10'6 Alto best for?

The recommended paddler weight is up to 105kg. If you are close to that limit, want extra reassurance, or plan to carry a child or dog regularly, the wider Moloko 10'8 Alto may be the better fit.

What is the difference between the Moloko 10'6 Alto and 10'8 Alto?

The 10'6 Alto is the more compact all-rounder and will suit many beginners and general paddlers well. The 10'8 Alto is wider at 34", giving it more stability and deck space, making it better for larger paddlers, family use and anyone who wants maximum reassurance.

Should I choose the Moloko Alto or the Moloko Tempo?

Choose the Alto if your main priority is simple, stable all-round paddling. Choose the Moloko 12'6 Tempo if you want better glide, improved straight-line tracking and a board better suited to longer flat-water paddles.

Does the package include everything I need?

It includes the board, wheeled backpack bag, three-piece paddle, pump, coiled leash and water-resistant phone case. You will still need suitable clothing for the conditions and we strongly recommend using a buoyancy aid or personal flotation device when paddling.

Can I try a Moloko paddleboard before buying?

Yes. Our SUP Test Centre at Woodmill, Southampton allows you to compare boards and paddles properly on the water, which is the best way to choose the right size and style.

Specifications

  • Features

    10'6" x 32" all-round shape
This is the classic all-round size because it works for so many people. You get enough width to feel stable, but without the board becoming overly bulky or sluggish to handle.

    Stable in real-world conditions
The Alto is not just for millpond-flat water. Its outline and width help it stay composed when the surface gets a bit more textured, which is exactly what many paddlers need in typical UK conditions.

    18–20 PSI recommended pressure
A good inflatable board needs to feel rigid when inflated properly. Pumped to the recommended pressure, the Alto gives a noticeably firmer feel underfoot, helping it paddle more cleanly and predictably.

Multiple carry handles and front bungee storage
These details matter more than many people realise. The carry handles make launch and recovery easier, while the front bungee is handy for shoes, a dry bag or a light layer.

Included Moloko Hybrid 3 Piece Paddle
This is not just a token paddle thrown in to tick a box. It is relatively light, packs down neatly and is a good match for the board for general cruising and early progression.

    Wheeled Echo iSUP Board Bag
The included bag is a real plus point. Wheels, backpack straps and durable construction make it much easier to move the board from car to water, and easier again to store once packed away.
