The Red Paddle Co 10'2" Ride is a refined take on the world’s most popular inflatable paddleboard design. While many boards in this category aim for a "one size fits all" approach, the 10'2" is specifically engineered for lighter riders (typically under 75kg) who find the standard 10'6" a little too much to manage. It offers the same legendary durability and stability Red Paddle Co is known for, but in a package that is easier to turn, lighter to carry, and more responsive underfoot.

The Ride range is the backbone of the Red Paddle Co line-up, designed for all-around versatility. Within that family, the 10'2" sits as the more agile, compact sibling to the 10'6" Ride. If you are a smaller adult, a teenager, or a lighter rider looking for a board that won't feel like a "raft" in the wind, this is the correct choice. If you weigh over 85kg or plan on frequently carrying passengers (kids or dogs), we would typically recommend stepping up to the 10'6" Ride for the extra volume and stability it provides.

Is the 10'2" stable enough for a beginner?

Absolutely. For riders within the recommended weight range (under 75kg), it is exceptionally stable. If you are a larger rider or a complete beginner over 85kg, the extra width of the 10'6" Ride would be a more supportive starting point.

Can I take a child or dog on the front?

While the 10'2" can handle the weight, it is a compact board. If you plan on paddling with a dog or child regularly, the extra deck space on the 10'6" or 10'8" Ride models will make the experience much more comfortable for both of you.

How long does it take to inflate?

Thanks to the included Titan II Pump, which uses a twin-chamber system to move air faster, most riders can have the board to the recommended 18-20psi in about 5 to 7 minutes with moderate effort.

The process thermally glues the second layer of PVC to the drop-stitch core, eliminating manual gluing errors and reducing weight. 4.7" Profile Most budget boards are 6" thick to compensate for poor-quality materials. Red's superior construction allows the 10'2" to be thinner. This keeps you closer to the water's surface, making it easier to climb back on and far less prone to being pushed sideways by the wind.
Indestructible Twin Fins The fixed iFin system is designed for simplicity. You don't have to worry about losing a fin or breaking a fin box in shallow water. These fins are moulded to be incredibly tough and can be easily straightened by hand if they ever get bent in storage.
The ATB Transformer Bag This is more than just a backpack. It features an internal skeleton that allows you to strip away the outer bag, leaving just the straps and pump-mount. This is ideal for hiking to remote launches where you don't want to carry a bulky bag on your back while paddling.
