The Starboard Lima Prepreg Carbon two-piece paddle, 2027, suits regular paddlers who want a responsive blade for touring, fitness and race training while keeping length adjustment. It is the premium construction route for buyers who already know they like the Lima’s positive catch.
Why choose this version?
A paddle upgrade is felt on every stroke. The Lima’s concave power face helps the blade hold its line through the pull, while the carbon construction gives a direct response when loaded. The two-piece format is practical for adjusting length or sharing between similar-height paddlers, although it does not pack as short as a three-piece travel paddle.
Compare the Lima Carbon F35 two-piece if you want the Lima shape at a different construction level. Choose the Prepreg version when the premium build matters to your regular paddling, rather than assuming it will correct technique on its own.

Would a fixed paddle be better for racing?
A fixed paddle removes the adjustable joint and can be an appealing choice once you know your preferred length. The two-piece version makes more sense if you value adjustment across different boards or uses.
Should I choose M or L?
M is worth considering if you prefer a quicker cadence or less load per stroke. L suits paddlers who can use the greater blade area without losing technique over their usual session.
