Within the AXIS rear stabiliser range, Speed sits on the performance and efficiency side of the lineup. Compared with the AXIS Freeride Stabiliser Rear Wing, it is quicker and lower-drag. Compared with the AXIS Progressive Rear Stabiliser Wing, it feels more locked-in and speed-focused, with less emphasis on a super loose, surfy carve. For wingfoiling, prone, SUP foiling, downwind and pump-focused setups, it is a smart choice for riders who want more glide and less resistance from the back of the foil.

Who should choose the AXIS Speed rear wing?
Choose Speed if you already have a decent feel for foiling and want more glide, better speed retention and a cleaner high-speed feel. It is especially good for intermediate to advanced riders who want to tune a foil to feel faster and more efficient rather than just more stable.
Which size should I choose?
The 380 is the smallest and most performance-led option for advanced riders or powered-up conditions. The 400 Flat is an excellent fast all-round choice for riders who want strong efficiency without jumping straight to the biggest span. The 420 is the one to look at if you want the most locked-in, speed-focused feel in the current Speed lineup.
What is the difference between Speed, Progressive and Freeride?
Freeride is the easiest and most forgiving. Progressive is more balanced and surfy, with a looser feel in the turns. Speed is the performance and efficiency option for riders who want less drag, better glide and a tidier feel at pace.
Does it come with screws?
No. The rear wing includes an AXIS padded cover, but not the mounting hardware. These 60mm chord Speed rear wings use M6 x 22mm screws front and rear, so if you need fresh hardware, add the AXIS Stainless Steel Screw Set.
Will this fit my current AXIS setup?
If your AXIS fuselage uses the standard AXIS rear wing mounting pattern, this is usually a straightforward fit. If you are not completely sure which AXIS system you have, send us your current setup and we will sanity-check it before you order.
